And also Queen Margot (About french religious wars) and one about german landsknechts, but I forgot the name. From those you offered us I will chose :scratch:

this margot movie, was it the one with isabelle adjani? great work! i recommend the novel by alexandre dumas, which the movie was based on.

do you know some details on the landskencht movie? director, year, actors? im interested in...



btw: pearl harbour was a really boring piece of chick flick :D

One of my favorites is The Seven Samurai. I guess it counts as a war movie.

Seven Samurai was a great movie for sure! I like Das Boot and Stalingrad as well. Platoon was good as well. Just naming good movies I don't see on the list.

Braveheart and Gladiator were both good movies but almost exactly the same plot-wise. Only big differences are that one's in Scotland, the other Rome.

I choose Last samuraj, because I'm big fan of Japan and all Japanese I am even training Kendo now so this is only one possible choise for me.

Gladiator and Braveheart from the listed! Khan Asparuh and King Boris I (those two are BG - with legions (literally) of statists/actors)! I like the Japanese as well but haven't watched The Last Samurai yet! But my favorite is The Lord of the Rings! I'm waiting for the Hobbit!

I voted for Gladiator, but i like also Braveheart and "Nothing new in the West" (I'm not sure if this is the English title)

i like all from the list . i like ww2 styled movies and i just cant stop watching the barbarous medevil and rome fights .and ther is very good unknow movies thats is pretty good. and timurlenk i totaly unagree with you about peral harbor its really good and ween i watchd it was not as booring as you say.ther is many i like cant remeber them all
