I think the ring of honor logo is awesome for the cover maybe imbedded on a shield with medieval designs or celtic notwork around it.

That picture can be in the bottom of the cover,like decorative line.But it is the better than these another Medieval drawings to me.;)

Drawings of Middle ages can be background of the cover,but I think it have to be composed with not-authentic detalis (like scenes from the game,knights drawn by computer or some like this)

You want the cover to apply to all ages and everyones tastes.. you cant put ancient scripture/paintings on the cover.. you want to bring in rts fans as well as fps, rpg..


My suggestion would be to have 2 knights in the middle of the cover on their horses clashing swords, and behind them (alot smaller) would be armies of various units with a castle in the background.. so it entails that knights rule the armies which reside in castles.. with the ancient feel in the border around the top and bottom of the box.

I'm tired of knights battling against other knights. If we want it to be different I think there should be something peaceful too - we are going to use diplomacy, espionage etc. too! I like the idea for the king. Perhaps a king in the middle, on his left a battlefield and on his right side - a peaceful village with some working peasants. But that's a cliche too.

nice but i would prefer = a king in a shining armor pointing with his sword on the enemy army . and on the other side ther is a barbarien king pointing with his axe and gives a command to attack to his herd and rain of arrows comeing from thousands of bows and horses and foot men attacking one and each other and soldiers dead on the ground . and a big book at the top of the cover were it stands knights of honor like the letters on the knights of honor site

You also have to think here... you put on the cover what sells , so armies and fighting and detail brings attention to a potential buyer, and you want that buyer to know a little about the game just by looking at the box.. once he sees it he picks it up to look at the pictures on the back and read what its about..

so..

The front has to have some sort of "scene" depicting action, but , it could also have something like spies on the front, wit that ancient look.

Something like a Castle in the very background, with a king in front of the castle pointing outwards towards you, with a knights following his orders and pointing outwards to his army, and the army running at the front of the cover.. would be a neat idea to capture someones gaze.

That is indeed a good bit of coverart there LadyH. Although, on the topic of what sells, it needs partially clad females in there somewhere. Sad truth but that's what so often draws the eye to the game first.

Mabey a big sheild split into 4 and each 4th has a different aspect of the game in a sort of shadow. like an army marching, a siege, peasents at work and somthing else.

At the top it says KNIGHT OF HONOUR.

Mabey a small catchphase at the bottom.

And the background (behind the sheild) is a flowing red royal cape.
