Probably get it quicker pre-ordering it from EB Games or Gamestop. Not sure when and if the brick & mortar EB's will have it, some EB's don't carry PC games anymore or carry very few.

Wich one will be faster, Amazon.com or Gamestop.com ?

I never buy something on internet except with Amazon.

I pre-ordered it from Amazon. It's telling me the shipping estimate is November 4th to November 8th (this is with the free shipping)

Great... I live in Mexico and most of US game stores will charge me around 30 USD for sending the game "plus taxes and customs fees"... so I would end up paying twice the cost of the game... :(.

I guess I can only hope to wait months until they decide to start selling it here, if ever.

At least I have the demo :P.

To be honest, now i realy hate the demo, because u can't do something concrete, like war or trade, its boring :(.

i pre order the game at gamestop, + $15

By the way
10$ = Canadian
$10 = American

I am currently living in Manhattan and I thought I knew Manhattan pretty well. But I don't know where I can buy PC games in Manhattan? Does anybody know a store here in NY? The Virgin store only sells games for the PS2 and other paddles.

I am not sure if there will be any stores selling it other than EB Games, EB is a partner of Aspyr(US distributor). If there is an EB Games store in the area, they might have it, but some of the EB Games stores have stopped carrying any PC Games or have only 1 rack with the most popular games.

I was wondering, does anyone know if they plan to release the game using this new "game downloaders" service like Direct2Drive (http://www.direct2drive.com) where you donīt need to have the physical box sent to you (therefore saving people like me a lot of money)?

That would be just the best solution for my problem :D.

Sunflowers has never done that in the past, and I don't foresee it in the future. All of their games, except Anno 1602, require a CD in the drive to play them. Copy protection!

Oh because the crack is not includ with the game ? dang !

It's normal they didn't do that.. its a new kind of media for everyone

Yes, but I would only pay for the game... not the 30+ USD for shipping and handling and another 25+ for customs fees and taxes once the game enters my country (it has happened to me before), so if I can save 55+ USD by downloading the game then I am all for it.

As St-Craft said, this is a very new kind of service so yes, I wouldnīt be surprised if they didnīt use it in the past, however I think it might be a little too bold to say that they just wonīt use it in the future.

All of which means that you should be asking D2D if they are going to solicit Sunflowers (or whomever) to enter into a contract to allow them to provide their service. Sunflowers will be interested only if it sees significant additional sales to the market share you represent. That is, those persons for whom in-store sales are not possible and for whom physical package delivery represents a matter of insecurity (packages just don't arrive dependably) or unreasonable cost.

I hadnīt thought of that... good point, I am going to ask them for the game (as well as tell all my friends to do the same). Thanks.

(Sometimes it's easy to forget that not everywhere in the world is there the cheap and reliable parcel delivery that we have in the U.S.)

Yes, well... you are very lucky to live in the US, here in Mexico we have to pay higher prices for older stuff so it really ****s. And almost always when they do bring new games, they are translated to "Spain" spanish (different from "mexican") and if you want to get the english version they it costs even a little more. It ****s :P.

Anyway, thanks all for your opinions and support.

I wouldn't suggest getting it from D2D. Most modifications, and expansions won't work with it if you do. If you don't plan on getting any mods or expansions then it might be a good idea but otherwise...
