yea, this is only a game. Use Germany instead of Holy Roman Empire, Bohemia should be called Czechia, Byzantium - Greece and one big Spain instead of many smaller iberian realms, independent Finland, because Fins would not understand why they are under Swedish rule and one big Russia on east instead Moscovy, Novgorod, Kazan etc. also Ukrraine instead of Kiev will probably be better. Seljuks and Ottomans should be caled Turkey because it's all better to understand to 15 years old guys who wouldn't know names like Bohemia, Kiev, Castille, Byzantium, they will wonder why Holy Roman Empire is in Germany and why Austria is part of it, why Sweden is in Finland and what the hack England do in France when it should be in northern Ireland.
Oh and I almost forgot Belgium and the Netherlands, Romania consisting of Transylvania, Wallachia and Moldova, and don't forget Belarus and Slovenia.

There will be only one unimpotrtant detail. Soldiers of those states, following orders of Tony Blair, Jacques Chirac and Gerhard Schroeder are not led by knights and don't use swords, bows and spears. But it is not so important.

It is a game, not for historians, but for gamers. Will there be EU? I hope so, I'm proud of being citizen of member state of EU.

Even I prefer HRE before Germany.
HRE is more historical correct than Germany, regardless of how I feel about HRE politically and so forth...
