Hello!


There are still a few things that seem silly for me in the game.
For example, when I face my spy on the battlefield, then in order to win the battle, I'm gonna have to kill him, which doesn't make any sense.
I also don't like that I can't choose a new ruler when the old one dies without having any sons. I can lose very skilled marshals in that way.
Also, I was wondering if I can make a kingdom out of a discretional province and create heraldry for it by myself.

Any way to modify those things?

When you face your own spy on the battlefield, the only option is to zoom out and recall your spy immediately to your own court. Your Marshall will win the battle and your Spy lives.

You can create a new kingdom yourself - look in this very thread for kingdom creating. Post 1 and post 104 contain the same info about it, from Elvain.

We cannot change core elements in Knights of Honor, because much is hardcoded, so what you mention, we cannot change. A Marshall King is very well possible, by the way.

Hello everybody

I have some question for edit.

1 Can i edit such things like, turning fresh killed men (in battle) to skeleton ?
I want stop this turning because I think it is bad realism

2 when I edit mod HR1.7 units (I increase unit size to 99(I want 100 and more) and firing range 1400-1700)
game is crash ? When I do it in game (without mod HR1.7) v 1. 0. 2 game is work good

Angryminer actually said CTK is chance to kill. If it is 100% and the target unit has no armor, a blow will kill a unit. But what if it is 240%? Does that means 1 blow will kill 2 units and have 40 % chance to kill another?
What DMG melee and DMG Ranged stand for?
And ATTRN?

DMG =^ damage

1. No, sadly.. not that I would know.
2. It's either that the range is too far or that the game cannot handle such amounts of units whereby your increment counts with something that Elvain has modded.. but I can't possibly conclude anything.
By the way, if you think that skeletons are bad realism, then what about 1400-1700 ranges? But this is only a sidenote :wink:

Three questions:

1.If CTK is what defines the chance of the killing, then what's DMG supposed to do? Is it just cosmetic?
2. If the unit have 240 CTK, then it is supposed to kill 2 units? Or only one at hit, regardless of the %? A knight then would whipe out teutonic knights, with about 10 teutonic knitghs falling per squad attack (suposing only 10 of 15 knights attack at the moment), and that doesn't really occurs.
3. Why does crossbowman kill heavily armoured units with such ease? How does armour penetration from crossbow actually interfere on the chance to kill an armoured units such as knights, marshalls and teutonic knights?

Hello! I have a couple of questions, as I'm trying to translate the game to Bulgarian:

1. I want to create articles of the titles, such as "tsar" - "tsaria", "tsariat". But on English it's used "a" and "the", which are separate words, not like on Bulgarian - one word. And on Bulgarian the different titles and articles have different suffixes, so I can't simply put only one after a title tag in the texts (f.e. it's "tsariat", but "imperatorut", so I can't just place f.e. "<TITLE>at"). So I was wondering if I could possibly insert new columns f.e. <TITLEfa> (for full article) in the titles files and then fill in this column the full articles for every separate title. Do you think this would work? Because this way it would look much better with a correct grammar, if it works...
2. Do you happen to know some way to incorporate Cyrillic in all game texts, not only in the descriptions etc? F.e. also in the main menu, the message titles, the city and province names and so on. Because it doesn't really look very nice on Bulgarian language, but with Latin alphabet, and I want to change it all to Cyrillic...

Maybe downloading a cyrilic-only font could work? And maybe typing the text in latin and it would be automatically converted? Just a thought...

I already replaced most of the Cyrillic-problem places with Latin, but it doesn't look very aesthetic now. Bulgarian is made for Cyrillic (or the opposite actually, but anyway) and Latin doesn't fit very well for it. Do you have any suggestions for fonts, which could work well both with Cyrillic and Latin?

You don't understand what I meant. I encountered once a cyrilic-only font which worked only for cyrilic, and I didn't have to change the keyboard lanague to cyrilic, in fact I couldn't, but when I type a letter it's cyrilic. So I thought that you find such a font on the internet, type the text in latin, set the font in the file and see if in game it appears as cyrilic instead of ***. It's just a thought...

Hmm, I don't think this is completely necessary. If a font supports Cyrillic, no matter if it's only for Cyrillic or not, when I write on Cyrillic with it, it would show Cyrillic. Actually, I think that if it's "Cyrillic only" it could eventually create some more problems. Although I might try it... What was the name of that font you mentioned?

It's getting more and more complicated with each post, the font is for Serbian you couldn't use it, I thought that you find a Bulgarian font like that.

Hello guy's it's been long since I checked the forum again (way back when the game was still in development) but I found my way back here :cool:

It's good to see the community is still alive and beter a second patch is in the making.

Anyway I have a little question here is it possible to change the sounds of the fire arrows? I found a way to add sounds to the game even add shooting sounds for the horse archers! Since the fire arrows are aquired by skill I got a little stuck on finding out how to give it another sound :scratch:

Doesn't really mather no more gues it's not possible to have a 'fire woosh' kind of sound (like the ones in Stronghold) for the fire arrows and a normal arrow sound for standerd arrows.

oh, so what I was thinking was that if you can mod the savegame to change portrait so it looks like they are relative
