View Full Version : I don't see the US patch
I don't know what Paraworld is   . I'll have to look into it  . You got a brief description, Dobber?
Here is a link to the Sunflowers main page (http://www.sunflowers.de/english/index.php), you can click on the Paraworld link there for a description and screenshots! You can download the Demo and try it out from that link as well!
And the forum for it is just a short bit below this forum on the the main forum page. Right below Anno mobile and right above Knights of Honor!

OK, great! I'll look around. I see dinos... I LOVE DINOSAURS!!!:hello:
I found this link also, http://www.paraworld.com/.
It's told me everything I wanted to know. And, I'm not into RTS games. I like building and strategy games. I have Jurassic Park.
Thanks, Dobber...

aspyr is involved into the US patch. they take a look on the patch first before their approval is given. this causes the delay.
So I sent an email to Aspyr inquiring about this. I don't know whether to cry or cuss.
We don't currently plan to provide another patch for this title. This
doesn't mean we never will, but since we are working on a large number
of Universal Binary patches for most of our games, we are having to
prioritize what we spend time working on by taking several factors into
consideration. First, we judge the severity of the problem and the
popularity of the game. Then we see how many support requests we get for the
game. The best way to keep informed about patch updates is to sign up
for our newsletter here:
http://www.aspyr.com/news/newsletter_signup
Sorry I couldn't help you more.
Thanks for your patience.
Given this reply, would it be possible for the Sunflower's US patch version be released by Sunflower to the public? Or must we be subjected to the whims of Aspyr.
is very sad
Sad "State of Affairs" according to that reply.:frown:
Not before next week.

The US patch will be released a little bit later, sorry.
Both patches were planned to be released simultaniously. The US patch didn't get the final approval in time, that's why it is delayed.
That sounds for me a bit different, than the statement from Aspyr :gogo:

I for one am getting sick  of company's promising patches that never come! We pay our $40 or $50 dollars just like everyone else and than we get kicked under the bus! You all know what this means in the long run, there will NOT be an up upgrade for our games, they won't even give us a patch why would they give us a upgrade!!

they're probably just using some supply/demand tatic, like holding the patch back from the US, hoping that when they finally release it, even more people will buy it because they've been waiting so long...at least thats what the amature economist inside me is saying.

Patch or no patch, the bigger picture is with statements like this it clearly makes me think there will be No Expansion to this game for the US Market.
Sunflower, please make this happen for US users; even if it has to be via download (which I dearly dislike).
I'm sure this is just a form letter. From reading Raylin's post the work is done. The powers that be have only to approve it's release. I'm sure this will be done asap. Imagine this, they may even play test it first to ensure it doesn't break anything.:hello: It would be silly to not release a finished patch until more people bought the game.:silly:
If this is the case keep up the good work. I have to admit I'm very happy with the game, and this patch far surpasses just fixing things. Try Ubi's Silent Hunter IV  for something to really make your forehead crash to your desk repeatedly:bash: .

I just wish that the US version was the same as the UK version. I prefer British English anyway, and calling the game Anno 1701 is lot less of a mouthful that 1701 A.D.
It would make things easier to patch.
Is anyone out there who tried to install the UK patch?
Change language key in the registry file to UK and install?
Does that work?

And all of us in the US are scared as hell about the terrorists among us.
No, not ALL of us, maybe you are, but I'm not, so please don't speak for ALL of us.
/me lends BaldJim some irony-tags
I found humor in Baldjims post. I am getting worried about the release here in the US. Who knows maybe the patch was one of the e-mails that was deleted at the whitehouse?
Must have been the same virus, that eradicated some of the votes at the 2004-election

Oh, sarcasm, sorry. In that case bravo.
