Who cares of Macedonia? Todays Macedonians have nothing in Common with Alexander´s Macedonia. Todays Macedonians have nothing to do with the Macedonia of Alexander the Great. The only thing I know is that the Population of Macedonia is Slaws,Greeks, Bulgarians and Turks. Only the State is called Macedonia but without real Macedonians of Alexanders Age. Alexander the Great is not a National Hero of any Country which exists nowadays. If the todays Macedonians are proud of Alexander the Great they should go to school and learn more about History.

I don't agree. About 20% of Macedonian population is of proto-Illyrian origin which IMO ancient Macedonians were. Today they are mix of Slavs(35%), proto-Illyrians(20%), Greek(15%), Anatolian(15%), Celto-Germanic(10%) and there are some Mediterraneans(5%).
Macedonian language is similar to Bulgarian and Serbian due to slavic majority which imposed it's language.

Also Bulgarians are Slavs as well, they do not belong under specific group. Original Bulgarians were of Turkic origin, todays Bulgarians are predominatly Slavic with Turkic and Romanic(Greek-Byznatine) influences.

Ok, I just voted for other country in Europe... but that is only because I refuse to refer to the Netherlands as Holland :nono:

2 of our 12 provinces carry that name (North and South Holland), and in our history those indeed were the main important ones so it is understandable... but not acceptable ;-) Ok, for so far my history lesson....
