Before I even heard about Knights of Honor I was eagerly awaiting for Lords of the Realm 3. After reading a preview from IGN and seeing some screen shots I put Lords on the back shelf. Does anyone know what the differances are between the 2 games, I really haven't seen to much on Lords to compare it with Knights.

Lords 3 will focus on battles, there is no world conquest in Lords 3 [only England], also its gfx is 3d, and aint that great.
KoH will be lot better, IMHO. :cheers:

I don't get why I keep getting told my questions are off topic? I'm asking whats the diffrerance between the two. If there is something that Lords has that intrests me that Knights doesn't I'd like to know before making a purchase.
Thats pretty cool that Lords is more focused on battle but Knights battling system looks way better.

ok,.. the coming year there will be a lot of REAL good (realtime) stratgie games. but none of them has the medieval as story/background. so knights of honor will be the best in medieval realtime strategy games
Your talking about Koh and Lords of realms but this is a forum for questions about Koh only. If i am wrong then i appoligize.

I am getting so tired of the people who are talking about LotR....and comparing it to KoH......KoH is a new game!!! not comparable........but when you absolutely want to talk about LotR on the KoH forum....please do that in the Royal Inn.......

well,.. ithink he wanna know what medieval game KOH comes clause to the medieval games he knows,... but i think the answer would be "non of them" cause its new and maybe only mixtures of other games could describe what it is.

I think too that there is no comparison between these games because they are differents.

1)Lords of the Realm 3 has two resources - gold and food
2) In Lords3 will be four type of wassals. In old information devs said that there will be something about 200 vassals in pool
3) In Lords3 will be scenarios
4) Maps only for England and northern Europe
5) In Lords3 will be possibility to slow down the speed of game - only in single player. No possibility to pause the game.
6)Jumping between the battles. In my opinion Lords3 will have only one advantage over KoH. In KoH when we enter to battle and lead them, we have only one chance to lead this battle. When we leave battle then we have any possibility to lead them again. AI control this battle. In Lords3 we have possibility to jumping between the battles and enter to it again
7) Lords3 is in 3D graphics... But IMO this graphics is too cartonish for me. Castles and strongholds in Lords3 are too...small for me... You should see video from Lords3....Horrible!
Comparing screens from Lords3 and KoH...KoH winning!!
8) We don't know to much about diplomacy...Economy will be not complicated - there will be NO MICROMANAGEMENT!
9)Like said Devs - game will be about conquering and fighting...Another options like economy and for example hapiness of population or production of weapon will not be important like in previous version...
At last we must know that Lords3 will be completely different game than previous Lords series... This is new game with the same tittle, nothing more...

It sounds like KOH is going to be a pretty open ended game, I just hope it's as good as it sounds.
Well how can i say this more gently-its like comparing butter toast and peanut butter and jelly-wait thats not right!?!

See I must be really confused. I originally was under the impression that these two games were quite similar. I guess I'll have to just read up on both of them a bit more.
Lords of the Realm 3 and Knights of Honor are two different games. Knights of honor isn't even out yet.

Yea but stil they are two different games. ANd knights of honor is the best out of those two :) (just by looking at pictures KoH looks better)

Wow..tough question. Those two are totally diffrent. I must say I really like the art style of Lords3..suits the game much better than realistic style of Lords2. Also..3D visuals are really nice(and that`s to them the battles in Lords3 will most likely be better than those in KoH).
On the other hand...KoH looks a lot deeper and closer to "complete medieval package".
Overall. I would say that IMO Lords of the Realm3 will be more fun, while Knights of Honor will be more rewarding/satisfying.
If I will want to relax and simply have some great fun I`ll play Lords3..as Impressions always has made insanely fun games..they hever have much to do with reality, but they are simply pure joy to play.
And if I`ll feel need to try something deeper, to achieve something, instead of pure fun..then KoH will be the game I`ll choose, as it might not give me instant fun like Lords3..but it should give me much more satisfactiona nd sense of achievement.
Anyway..I`ll be getting both for sure :)
