I have seen posts on other boards that comment on how this board does not have an English language multiplayer thread like the mostly or entirely German thread started by Frieden, so... I will start one and hope that it gets used!:)

Those who are new to multiplayer naturally want to know how to do it. It seems best to get in contact with someone who has played at least one multi game and to let that experienced player walk the newbie through the steps.

The other often asked question is how to get in contact with other multiplayers. It seems the best way to do this is by using instant messengers. If a person who doesn't have any instant messenger wants to play, there are a few chat rooms that might come in handy. If all else fails, e-mail or message boards can be used but they are not as convenient as instant messengers. There is also the private messaging on this board.

So if you are new to multi, look here and elsewhere for other players and leave some information like IM handles/nicknames and/or e-mail addresses so others can contact you.

I'm sure there are unanswered questions, so feel free to ask here.

(Another source of information is the game manual which is on the CD in the form of a .pdf file.)

Great idea Eric, I was thinking about this same thing on my way to work yesterday.

@Helen - You use the UK version but you are able to play with the US version. I thought you had the US version but this opens it up for others with the UK version that they can play with the US version also.

I have the US and German versions.

@Helen - I think the point Mama is trying to make is that you are able to play with us here in the U.S. when it has been said that the different versions of the game are not compatible. I think she just wants to make that clear so folks who have the U.S. version don't avoid you.;)

@Terry - Sorry for pre-empting your idea.;) I was thinking about this about as long as from when Frieden posted his thread.;) I just thought it was time to get it going.

The Prince did get what I was saying, or at least part of it. The other part is that those with the UK version could also play with the US version.

I am looking for people willing show all skill in a multiplayer,here we have some of the great player like Eric,Mama Terry that i already have played.
Hellen seens to be a good player too, we will know when we play together.
That´s good!
Some hints that help me have a long multiplayer game:
If you are going to host:
Close programs that are monitoring you port. They could avoid your good fellow to upload the data information used to starts the game or at least they can cause some delay.
Turn off the routers, firewall and those programs anti-addwares.
The Guests :
Well the Host certanly will need download information of your pc then you have to turn off routers firewall, tracerts .
Follow this steps you going to start playing quickly! And will not receive error messages!!!

stopped by while dl'in mp3's to see whats been goin on...hi 2 all...lot of talk bout gettin U.S. version...why no one just burn/send copy to who ever needs it....it's an old outdated game...anyway i listed my e-mail & yahoo id (which you can message me when i'm offline) so keep me in loop 4 any multi players games goin on or tournaments.(like last years Friends)...been playing dungeon siege a lot ( great 8 player multi) but still got 1602 on comp...hope to hear from you all...later ...Warren Hey Joe..saw your message but didn't quite understand...are there some new scenarios to DL or is there a contest to make best new one...just did kings gambit yesterday..(all Day)..amassing a mighty fleet i'm now know thruout the sea as The Two gun Terror..(a mighty fleet of sm battleships with only 2 guns on each)..so now it's on to something new...
