knight of the teutonic order
06-09-2004, 14:43
My approximation for singleplayer:
40 * 9 * 4 + 4 * 40 + 6 * 40 = 1920 units
For multiplayer:
9 * 40 * 6 = 2160 units

could you resolve this equation ... set some variable!!!

40 [Units/Squad] * 9 [Squads/Marshall] * 2 [Marshalls/Side] * 2 [Side] + 4 [Townguard-Squad] * 40 [Units/Townguard-Squad] + 6 [Garrison Squad] * 40 [Units/Garrison Squad] = 1840 [Units]
This is under the assumption that there are two leading knights per side and that a town is assaulted so that the townguards and garrison-squads come into play.
40 [Units/Squad] * 9 [Squads/Player] * 6 [Player] = 2160 [Units]
In an open field battle in multiplayer there can be up to 6 players, each with one marshall.
These numbers are calculated under the assumption that you choose a very numerous type of unit for your squads. A Squad of Feudal Knights consists of ten units, though a squad of peasants holds something like 45 units.
The difference to the above number of units is due to a malfunction of my fingers when I tried to enter "40 * 9 * 4 + 40 * 4 + 40 * 6" into my calculator... 1840 seems to be correct.

At the beginning, the name of the kingdom depend on the province which we has the control or it's a choice? If i bigin with the provence(south east of France)i am obliged to be the french kingdom , no ?

You don't start as a province, you start as a kingdom. In your case you would just choose "France" and you instantly turn into the king of France.
Hail to the king! :go:

But isn't just for the very little kingdom !
I have a question:
It seems that in this (http://www.knights-of-honor.net//english/screenshot.php?screenshot=0182&all=0187|0186|0185|0184|0183|0182|0181|0180|0179#) screen two knight slots are "closed". What does that mean?

Never heard of prisoners. Can you (or anybody else) tell me some more about it? Why would anybody go into prison? Can you replace the prisoner?

He means that the player has captured an enemy knight. That can happen when a besieged town surrenders and a knight was there as a governor.
You can ask the king of the captured knight for ransom or execute him. There are some other possible actions I think, but I don't know them.
Angryminer
But then that slot is closed for one of your knights! What if you have all slots full, and you capture a knight? The Royal Court is a different place than the prison.

I guess then you won't be able to keep him imprisoned.
Yes, the developers want to keep you from having hundrets of imprisoned knights.
Angryminer
So that means my most dreaded and hated enemy who finally is my prisoner will be dining with me in my royal court!!! AAH!! :p

That's what it was like in the medieval era.
By the love of god! Your enemy is a royal person just like you. Destined by god himself to rule the people.

There can be several religions in your kingdom though you have to select one as your kingdom's official religion.
