he is the only guys who comes again and agian when all the other enemys are already erased from the face of the earth he still kepps me busy :D

and in other side its a little play of powers. and dont think i am the one who goes to kanossa ;)

i also think its a good test to find out how good my units really are, beside the mogols with theyre heavy aemored cavalery, of course, cause the pope always comes back with a fresh and strong army :)

hope you all understand i am just tlaking what i did in mtw. and belive me,... not so much helped the pope out as you think. and they who did has fallowed him to hell

but you can bet: if there is a pope in KoH i`ll try to hunt him :D

As paganism wasn't a homogene religion there shouldn't be a singel pagan religious leader.

No pagan leader Frank.Guys, pagan religion doesn't mean one single religion, but many different "old-fashioned" pre-Christian or pre-Muslim religions.

Hey Hector!
Can you see that this posts are from Mars????
That the first one is from January??!

Tell me, are you a garbage collector in your free time?
Do you love searching under the carpet for dust?
Or want to be an archaelogyst?
BTW, there are no famous ruins here in the forum! :silly:

I think that we'll go to far away from the game's core if we start to introduce inquisitions also - as it is now you can be anned by the pope and have a crusade against you.

@Elewyn
1400 Guttenberg and his "bookprint" (I don't know english word for it)

You mean his printing press... where he began to print mass produced copies of the Bible?

I'm gonna buck all of you "experts" and say the middle ages ended in the 1400s. The rise of many indenpendant city-states...(like the Italian ones) :)

I hope that the pope doesn't mind if I try to conquer his papal states. :)

1453, the fall of Constantinopel and with that a lot of greek refugees bringing with them much knowledge from what was left of roman empire. Which is what starts the renaissance. But the end of the Middle ages isn't the same for all of Europe so it's a rather useless thing to debate.

I'll agree with you Jarlabanke - as you probably also know the renaissance began in Scandinavia around 1536 ( official in Denmark ), but most likely also around this time in Sweden also :)

I think we usually say it started with Gustav Vasa, might be 1530 something here too though as that's when they converted to protestantism.

I saw that the earliest starting age is 1000, so Scandinavia is pretty much getting Christianized. But Finland and Lithuania is still pagan. Will it be possible for a Scandinavian king to reverse the Christianization progress and remain true to the old gods?
