Whoever tested the first release should probably not be the last to test this patch.definitely. If the testing was well BSS/SF could save expenses on the first patch..

I believe that BSS have learned and will test the patch really properly

oh and btw...

I have a question Frujin.
Could you tell us which way the challenge is improved?

I wonder if it's primarily that you make it harder to earn money (especially for larger kingdoms), or if the AI military skills are greatly improved, or AI economic skills are improved.. or is it done by giving AI some advantages over the player(f.i. knights are cheaper for the AI so it hires them, like the player and unlike the 1.03's AI etc)?

While modding the game I was always solving a dilema how to balance it to make the game easy enough for Ai to make it a challenging foe while the game is still hard enough for the player(not to have too cheap buildings/knights etc)

I would really love to see the AI orthodox independent states being able to have 2 patriarchs in a row

We did most of it and more. For the modders, we moved A LOT of values as external data so you can tweak much more things now as well.

Did you address the fact that Princesses are really.. well, sorta worthless? And only cause more problems for the AI?

And what about Merchants:
If you go all merchants (or close to all) you get insane amounts of cash and the game becomes a cakewalk to earn all kingdom advantages...]

and the diplomacy problems:

Sounds great...:go:

Take your time with the patch...we prefer to wait a couple of weeks more if it is necessary to make it right

@Dearmad...many good suggestions....

That's really good news indeed, Frujin :go:

and good ideas, dearmad

I'm still in between great expectations and to stay down on earth.. I don't want to ask for too much but I would like to

With all this communication lately I can't help but be elated! I move that we not only be patient but insist that they take the time they need and not feel rushed.

Its so exciting to think that more elements will be in the hands of our capable modders! Elvain and Laudan will take it from there. :)

Okay, let me see if I can hold this thing up there(it is already fairly long and a little heavy), while I get out the push pin!
Grruuuntt! Ggrroooaann! There, it is now stickied! :xmas_biggrin:

hehe, good work, Dobber

I'm really curious what will be included.. and little sad I won't have as much time I used to have when I was leaving my first school...

but I believe that with more things to be modded more modders will emerge and prove themselves to be good too

btw, yay, the editor thingie is another interesting one..

there is a discussion about spies and princesses.

Is there any improvement in the patch concering AI's ability to make marriages? It would be one of the most important stabilizing factors avoiding big number of "rebel kingdoms"

maybe move this thread into "news" section?

Dobber

News section is for news only and not for discussion! Maybe I can figure out how to split off the first post to move to news with a link to here for the discussion!

Elvain

ok, so then let's wait for Frujin and he will post it there himself :go:

I can split the thread, but I cannot move anything into the News section! Apparently News section is reserved for Sunflowers "staff" only!

you guys have a done a terrific job , this patch is a great thing from BSS, but I want to thank the community of fans, who justified this effort from BSS.
I am looking forward to the patch

to BSS: the concept of KoH is fantastic, is beyond the one of total war. Make a new game, and you will see the effects of "word of mouth" this time as almost never before. "Almost", since I know a game developed by five people, which is making them rich due to a great concept, great support and word of mouth. Galactic Civilization.

Even now the "mouth" advertisment worked much more effectively than any payed advertisment.

Many people were convinced by Anguille's AAR on Paradox forums, many other never heard of this game untill someone told them and then they found it is one of the most fantastic games ever.

If this game would have continuation and little better publicity I believe the sales would be much better :go:

PS this is post no. 42.000 in this KoH forum :hello:
