Sir Turylon. It's very sad that you once write down so wisely looking words about personal attacks and in right next post you did one.

I can't believe it. When two narrow sighted persons have debate about something, it's very obvious they will start to argue. And please, don't tell us that one "objective and balanced" US TV station is less narrow-sighted than 3-4 "objective and balanced" TV stations in Europe.

But if you want, go on. Maybe finally there will be Sir Turylon debating with Sir Turylon only. You only accuse others from falming being blind to your own flaming to others. It's very hard, you ask othes not to insult you, but in the next sentence you insult them (by very bad negative joke). Why? You wrotesomething about RESPECT to others. You probably should respect that there are people who dislike personal jokes, especially when the "j/k" note is very invisible and AFTER that joke. When you read something negative about you, you very probably don't look at small notification that it was a joke. This is not eyes-to-eyes debate where you can show in your accent and face that you are joking, you should WARN before you do bad jokes on somebody else.

It's very sad that you kicked out 2 of your most polite and equal (to you) debating partners. If somebody tried not to be narrow sighted and a-priori against you, it were Elewyn and Ben Nevis. My congratulations to you.

Ben, come on, put Sir Turylon in your ignore list and stay here.

If not, Sir Turylon's account turned to number 2

lol@Emphyr, Turylon was saying that all mass media isn't perfect and leaves out certain depending on the view of the leadership of the station, and really if people can't take jokes why are you in this forum. Perhaps it was a bad joke, but jeez a joke it was nothing to leave the forum for. Now emphyr will you relax and let bygones be bygones

Okay... let's look at something here... First of all... this is not reality. nothing on here is actually real outside of a few electrons buzzing around. If you are soooo insulted by something that is not real, you should not even be on the internet. Ben just says.. feck you , and leaves... very mature. nice job. You need to learn how to shrug things off.

Secondly, there was no insult in that post. Once again, mr Ben has clearly not understood a word I have said... (this happened all the time...I say something, he doesn't understand it and takes it as an insult). If you have ever even played UT, you would understand that the godlike bots are the toughest things you'd ever face. It was a high compliment, in actuality. The UT, which is Unreal Tournament, godlike bots are tougher than any human opponents you might face. They are relentless in their attacks and are tough little buggers to nail. To call somebody a godlike UT bot is next to the ultimate compliment. Just think of the most tough competition you can think of... it still woudl be les s than a UT godlike bot. :go:

now... on to... the little matter of people "leaving"
It's very sad that you kicked out 2 of your most polite and equal (to you) debating partners.
How naive (in a respectful manner). I have forced NOBODY off of the forum. Elewyn was a good debater, Ben is NOT. Soon as somebody refuses to take his side, he throws insults at them. No need to start saying that one person has "kicked out" other members. That is actually very false. Elewyn left caused he took the story too seriously. Ben.. no clue... perhaps he could not stand people that are opposite him?

In parting... Remember kids, this is not real. Chill, relax, do not take anything on here seriously. For St. Peter's sake, this is a GAMING FORUM.... If you cannot control your emotions online, need to go watch that avi of the CS hacker guy.

If your egos are solely based upon how you are established in a non-real setting such as the internet, woe to you. How many times have I had to endure the cynicism of you Europeans about how my country's foreign policy, my faith, and my personal preference of toothpaste! Do you see me yelling out "feck you euros! I'm leaving!" No, want to know why? Three words.... this isn't real!

I remember when I first posted here. nobody said.. "welcome to the forums turylon." "oh nice, another American is here..yay!" No, just slipped in under your radars like a wild weasel F-4G Phantom. Posted a few times, grew to like the community... (even Elewyn, Fin, Ben, and that silly Adolf) Many times people have personally insulted me, I did not take it seriously. Perhaps it is because I do not take the internet seriously. Perhaps it is that I can easily go from maturity to childish antics without a second glance. Control the inner-child, you will get far. Nobody likes it when they are shown disrespect. To accuse somebody of not respecting somebody else, that is childish.

Respectfully,
Sir Turylon the NOT REAL!!!!!!!!

PS. yes fallen, you nailed it. Live and let die. It's all the past. Never carry a grudge.

PPS. @ drake. you always find a way to cheer me up. :go:

This would be a good time for that "Arguing on the internet is like running in special olympics..." quote/saying. But it's a bit too politicly incorrect I guess...

sorry to interrupt your very nice ending of this spam thread
I remember when I first posted here. nobody said.. "welcome to the forums turylon." "oh nice, another American is here..yay!"
you have some complex of being US citizen, have you?

many members here were not welcomed and their nationality is not the reason.
if you noticed, the sentence: "oh, nice, another ... is here!" is usually written by somebody's countrymen. If you, USAmericans, don't do it, your problems, people from smaller nations are glad to see their countrymen and welcome each other at international places.

I would like your posts looking like you know that nothing posted here is real; not arguing about your country's foreign policy and so on, because the critic of it is not real. I believe you want to. I don't know how many times and how much you were insulted (or you felt being insulted), but when debating about the faith and telling somebody else that he's narrow minded because of his faith is not an in****(according to your theory if I understood it well). Criticising country culture and foreign policy is not a personal insult as well.

Jokes about 9/11 were not meant seriously by the "jokers", they were everything but real (according to your theory), but you were the first one who started to be very serious and critic about it (in reality or not? When it was unreal, why you got - and you can't deny you didn't - so angry of it?). Jokes about somebody personally are something even worse... and imagine: probably not everybody is as matured as you are(how many members here are so matured that they have children?). Also some people here have the right not to be so mature, they are younger than you.

But finally i must disagree. All this may look like it's just something unreal, but since one single person reads it and reacts to it, it becomes part of reality. Somebodys real brain thinks about it in his reality(sitting in front of a screen), his real knowledge and statements may be (and in many cases, except spamming, they are) influenced by it, his ego may be influenced by it (especially in young people's case). Of course, you should not take it seriously, but eventhough the people here are anonymous, covered by nicks, typing from very wise things to total buill****, when any single person read it, it becomes reality in his mind. So respect their immaturity and don't do bad personal jokes. And if yes, give one very big notification in front of it.

J/K :D PS: my ego is very immature, I would like my nick to be typed carefully :D

Gosh.. you really do not get it...

Internet is NOT reality. Sure, real people use it and express real opinions, but the reality stops there. Do not think that anyone here is insulting anyone here in reality. I did not take offense to the 9/11 things, I found them to be in bad taste. I'm sure you would say the same thing about jokes regarding holocaust, 3/11, and a few other tragedies.

Also some people here have the right not to be so mature, they are younger than you.
I totally agree, let kids be kids. I never take anything that a person under 18 seriously when it is in regard to some form of arguement. (no offense to you kids, of course)

Try to keep it on the topic at hand. The arguing was TWO sided, one side cannot start an arguement. Some members take things said here, in this non-reality game forum, way too seriously. I can see why Elewyn might have had his feathers ruffled, but I do not see why Ben needs to go on a cussing tantrum.

@you have some complex of being US citizen, have you?
ok Emhyr var Emreis. Go into a forum predominantely populated by Americans that share the same view which is opposite yours. See how hard is for you to "blend in." :go:

Lastly, I do not "respect their immaturity." I can understand it. I can shrug it off, but I do not respect it. hope that makes sense.

Have a good night kids!

As far as I remember, every new member that posted that he was new, was welcomed.. mostly by Angryminer... Perhaps you didn't post this, or perhaps it was a simpel mistake. None of us wouldn't welcome a person, just because of where he comes from, or least I wouldn't. If there was a mistake, I'm sorry, plz don't put more to it.
Btw, I'm one of those "inmature" guys your talking about, I'm 16. :hello:

I admit that it has turned onto another path, but you can't turn anything into something it already is... 4zzy, this was a debate thread from the beginning, but back then we were discussing weather spam is okay or not... and if Adolf should go see a shrink :p
If you don't like where it's heading, close it!

I dont think we should be talking about spam in the off topic part of the forum, I think that the off topic part is for every thing and any thing that people want to say expt. all the fings that are not allowed: rasism etc.

haha, nah. I do not feel "unwelcome." My opinions do, however.

Here's a tip, if you don't like what somebody says, ignore it. Just do not respond if all that will come out is an insult.

Hope Ben comes back. It was purely politics, nothing personal.

well, how often do you follow your own advice?
Because if you did, then you would not "feel unwelcome", I am sure.
