May he rest in peace and may the next Pope do his work as good as he did.
Wow my account hasnt been deleted yet. Anyways I'm not the most religius person in the world, well not religius at all. I don't bealive in any church nor bible( or holy scripts of the matter) for my own reasons, but that doesn,t make me wish bad for others. Just because you are one thing and the other guy is something else doesnt mean you are better than him nor give you the right to wish him the bad things in life, Nor make him change his way of thinking. All this nonsence of religion talk and people is almost the same as razism because you'r blue and the other is yellow. Anyways shame on those that wish bad for others, for you shouldn't consider yourself a civilized person.
And may the pope rest in peace.

Though I've never been a perfect catholic, I think, He was one of the most outstanding persons in XXc. Now I can't even imagine another pope.

I'm not catholic and I didn't agree with a lot he said, but he still earned my respect with all the good things he did for the poor people.
Next pope will really have a hard job.

Well....as Ratzinger is the most favourite person for the job I am very afraid of that...for he is the most conservative catholic I ever knew of........I didnīt like the new one, but if Ratzinger is the next, that would be a step back for the catholic church.
..but he 's old. I think they take an old one to organize themselve new in the short period of the new pope thne.
btw ..i can't believe that a german will become a pope ... never so far .

Hi everybody
What do you think?
Who will be the next pope?
I think cardinal Ratzinger has a good chance and according Nostradamus (I don't believe in the righ explanations of his prophecy) will be pope, who will be there only short period (what is approriate the age of Ratzinger)
and then will be a pope from Africa (maybe Latin America),
and then will be a time of great suffer and catastrophes....
be the man will survive it.
what do you mean?
ratzinger is the one whos name is heard most as successor. somehow, i really want a conservative, concerned pope, UNLIKE pope JPII...
I hope it's not gonna be Ratzinger. Not because he's German!
Why conservative pope? to keep prohibiting of condoms in Africa, so to cause millions of people die of AIDS?
Pope should be strong in his ideas, but not conservative in principle. He should be open to the world. At least as John Paul II. was. What a catholics need is to lead a dialogue with other religions what means top be open, not conservative!
conservative doesnt mean not be open to other religions, it means to basically keep the faith the same. The worst that can happen imo is to get a pope who allows female priests and allows condoms. JPII made some huge changes and remarkable things. I think JPII overdid the "dialogs with other religions". He even EXCUSED himself for the crusades and KISSED the koran. Sorry, not my pope. Catholisism today is one big party.
As for AIDS in Africa. There is another way to prevent AIDS other than condoms: just dont have sex with 7 women in a year. Dont go jump in bed with any women that suits your taste. If the people in Africa were sooooo religious, why dont they just stick to their wedded wife?
I know THIS sounds conservative, but its my opinion.
the problem in africa is that if you have sex with one man/woman, you have 50% and higher chance to get AIDS!
the pandemia of AIDS in africa has to be stopped immediately. To teach the people that it is better to have sex with only one from 7 men/women is better takes you one generation or more. Condoms will stopi it immediately. If you will wait for another generation, there will hardly be even 20 % of people without AIDS or even nobody. But they will all know that it is better to have only one partner for whole life like those who teach them (bisexual or gay bishops who don't even know how many partners did they changed or conservatives who can't even imagine what it is to have sex)
Not to mention that what the hack is better in having sex only with one person in whole life? to be blind and masochistic doesn't teach you to love!
Would you find fair if Germans didn't excuse for Holocaust? Crusades were so cruel that you can't imagine who reckless crusaders were. It was no romantism.
What's bad on kissing a book? kissing a symbol of a faith in One God. Muslims believe in the same God as you. Koran is a book of his words. Pope should kiss it!
also what is bad in women preistess? I thought women are equal to men. Or are they satan's instruments to mislead good men (gay bishops f.i.) from the right path  I thoght that humans have equal rights, no matter if they are Africans, muslims(or moslems), lutherans, catholics or women
