I will have similar problem,
the swiss tv or ORF will show some matches (AUT: SVK, CZE: SUI on Sunday), but not all of them (not like Slovakian or Czech TV), I think, Eurosport has no rights for this WC (they have only for OG), but DSF should have.
there exist some chip for satelite for Slovakian or Czech TV, but I have cable TV so it is not for me.

nice day and good luck to all :go:

Viasat Sports is going to broadcast hockey champ, but to see it I should visit someone who has cable TV (too bad I haven't).

yes, I will keep my fingers crossed for Slovakia.

Yesterday we had a first surprise. Germany lost to Kazakhstan.
And other surprise is that the most decisive victory was done by the USA.

I'm very scared of quality of ice in Vienna :(

watched today match between Czechs and Germans. It was like football on a potato-field.
But I'm happy ot see the victory 2:0

I'm also very unhappy of Czech referee in the match USA-Latvia
Latvia definitely scored 2 goals (even the third could be accepted as rightfull), but after 2nd period it was still only 1:1 instead of 2: or 3: for Latvia. It was another foul against ice hockey

Yes, the czech referee was totally out of justice, if I can say it.
Jagr is maybe out - I hope not, it will be a huge loss for CZE.

yesterday results:

I do not understand the power rakings of IIHF (the update of it)
http://live82.ihwc.net/english/article/ranking/

they put slovakian on 7.th place - because of easy wins of top favorites against outsiders like Slovenia. :bash:
But there is an advantage of it - underestimate us is the advatage for us and disadvantage for oponents.

nice day

I don't think that Slovakia could be underestimated! Not by anybody who understands ice hockey

IMO the have (with Canada and Czechs-with Jágr) the strongest team in the championships

According results from yesterday

we will play against - probably our Czech brothers on Saturday (if they defeat KAZ today). It will be top - game, I hope for a extraclass hockey. :hello:

gonna be a great game. :go:

Seen parts of match Sweden-Finland. Terrific game. Something like that couldn't be played on Vienna's ice

I saw SWE -FIN too, It was "klare Sache" for SWE. SWE Defend is very stabil, the middle zone crowded so for Finland was noit possible to go through.
It will be interesting to see them play against CAN.

Hope for good result today for Czech (without Jagr).

dakujem

Anyway I don't think he is so crucial player. The team is very good even withuot him. It's better for him to rest now :)

Mircoslavux

I think he is very crusial player - especially against strong oponent. He can bind at least two players - so his co-players can be free. His work with stick is superb and each time has a good overview in game.

But still you did not play again stronger oponent ( sorry but I mean SUI, GER and KAZ are not strong enough - because they play to much behind).

we will see - first you have to defeat KAZ.

Elvain
05-05-2005, 14:35
yes, we should defeat them even without Jágr.
Yet the worst opponent of technical czech hockey was the ice.

I'm looking forward (and am little afraid of) matches with strong oponents like Slovakia. Also I think that Kazakhstan not being so strong is also one of reasons why Jágr is haing rest tonight

Suma sumarum
I think:in our next group - RUS, CZE, SVK, BEL, ...... the matches have not such weight as in another one, because et the end for 1/4 each one of our group will have strong oponent (it there will be not surprice) like CAN, USA, SWE, FIN,
So the main goal will be concentrated to 1/4 match.

of course match like CZE - SVK is the presige match.

hope for better ice and good hockey...

Slovakia rules..........

sorry for Germans but they did not play very well this WC, so good luck to relegation.
