I agree, but let's see the facts:
1. Byznatine and other sources say Simeon died few days after the defeat against Tomislav in Bosnia, devastated by that defeat he succumbed into his grief. Why would he die because of one defeat? Well let's just say that the sources are clear on one thing....almost no one got back from that campign. They were all slaughtered.
2. All official sources we have today say the same about the number of forces King Tomislav had at his disposal.
Now we can speculate and say it's not realistic, but the sources say that and we can't do nothng to change that. ;)
Finally don't forget that Tomislav fought with Bulgarians in his own country. Bosnia was very hard place to conquer because of the hills and mountains and stuff. One who knows to use the enviroment (like the old Croats certainly did) is nearly invincible. :)
