The thing is that all these units: Teutons, Templars, Mameluks....do not represent just one distinct unit, but group of people almost identical to a nation. Teutons, Templars, Mameluks had cavalry, archers, infantry and all kinds of different units.

That most people think of them on horses is something else...

in reality - they all were people - and they had horses. Sometimes they were riding them and sometimes not.
I would think that they could fight both on foot and on horse - the knights I mean. And they did so.

Still - knights were nobility - and by the customs or prefference of the time - they would insist fighting on the horse, when possible...

Still - how about that Balt or Lithuanian unit?
What Lithuanian unit will fight those infantry Teutonic Knights? :p

Lithuanian units are not peasants:D. They will not run away, they'll squash all "tinned meet"-Teutonic knights!:p
(or you meant Teutonic knights will run away)

I still hope it's not true:(
They should be in Prussia and Livonia (Lethonia) - these are Baltics, but no way in Lithuania or Samogitia:nono:

Did anybody notice disappearing of Steppe Horsemen from mounted units category?
Frank or Frujin? will there be some other cavalry unit instead?

IMO that was posibbly a mistake. Because there were 'Steppe Horsemen' in the mounted section and 'Steppe Cavalry' in the mounted and ranged section. In fact 'Steppe Horsemen' were even wrongly spelled which with the recent removal adds even more posibbility that it was a typo. ;)

This however opens a space for the now already "legendary" Baltic Cavalry on this forum. :p
Although I must say that the number of the units (55) doesn't give me much hope.

The list is now final. There won't be any new units.

neither some little changes?

You know, from what we know it looks that some regions have almost the same 2 units although some other regions have nothing like that (Pronoias+Cataphracts, 2 byzantine cavalry units, not exactly the same, but almost; Derert cavalry+Camel riders, where the only diference seems to be horse/camel vs. Baltics, Scandinavia, parts of Balkans where none of listed cavalry units fit)

Tnx for a quick response.

Your answer sounds sadly for me:confused: But tnx anyway.

Be true: I am really happy that we can play for Lithuania in this game, but it will be not nice if my main units will be Teutonic Champions or peasants...

Can u say why u against any special unit in Balts lands?

Then i wanna how to get your men in to a castle which is surrounded by a moat  - I.e I would imagine that first you demolish a few feet of castle wall, but how do you men get acrross the moat ?

I thought that maybe you hadn't revealed that there we also have a sapper squad i.e their job should be to fill up a piece of the moat and thereby create a bridge/dam for the sqads to cross.

The only other way i can think of is if it's not possible to raise the drawbridge, which is highly unlikely IMO

Hmmm, I dont think that is so important, you can win without any special units.

It's very important. Yes u can win. But I and all my friends want to play for Lithuania and to have at least one local unit. I don't whant to play with alien units, because Balts culture is diferent like Slavic (Russia, Poland) or Western and it worth to have at least ONE unique unit. Is it so dificult to understood?

Is there some web page about the Baltic warriors?
For example one that talks about that Baltic Cavalry you are proposing... I would like to read and learn about them.

I think Siautas is right. Every region deserve having at least one local unique unit.

I tried a little and now I can show you my aproximate guess of number of General units in realms. I prefered showing general units from showing "local" or "unique-local" units, because f.e feudal knights are not local neither really unique unit since they cover almost half of Europe, but they also are not general, because they are still specific unit.

General units of this map are not Swordsmen or Peasants who are available everywhere, so you can add everywhere 2 more units. They are:
Men-at-Arms, Spearmen, Archers and Bowmen, Horse archers, and Axemen.

Units like crusader units or Heavy swordsmen/heavy archers I didn't know where to place.

The darker the area is, the less general (non-unique) units is there. In Lithuania there is one non-general and they are Boyars (IMO they fit there more than Feudal cavalry, Teutonics are not available there, I think almost everybody now understand why). It can be also interpreted, where 1 general unit is, 5 unique are, where 5general, 1 unique. As I said Lithuania has the only unique unit "borrowed from Russia" so it is the only region without any unique unit. I think it deserve some. That's my opinion :)

The map is here (http://elvain.album.cz/map-suggestions/1185507)
