Don't have any idea Kevin, they said Friday. I don't know what kind of work schedule they follow over across the pond.
If anything like some technology businesses here, could be 9:00 AM their time before even getting to the office!
It is after midnight here on the east coast of the US, I will probably head to bed shortly, I usually stay up till around 1:00 AM my time.

i'll be up until i get that patch ;)
The fix on bowmen, hmmm. Longbows if doing a field test will naturally shoot further than a crossbow. That is why crossbows were excellent for castle defense and used so historically. The Longbow naturally shoots further and was the factor which won the battle of Crecy for England in 1346 against the french cavalry and their Genoese crossbowmen.
I thought the two were programmed just fine.

right, but in the game, Longbowmen were able to hit ANYONE almost anywhere INDISE a castle. That was a bit too much Longbowmen were stronger in middle ages, right, but they were overpowered in the game
I think they will release it somewhen afternoon here in Europe. Sadly I'll be just writing my arabic test , thinking about the patch. I won't pass it
Kevin wasn't rude Elvain. It might be that he is arrogant but that is just part of being from the United States. We here in the good ol' USA dont really care who the president of Canada is or more importantly who the generals of the french army are. They don't matter!
Frosty get some tougher skin and quit victimizing yourself.

We bothj know there's some potence of conflict between us here. But who cares whan the patch is going to be released TODAY

Sure is that the longbowmen can shoot often, so 12 arrows in a minute. But the range of the crossbows was over 400 meters. But the crossbows cannot shoot so often in an minute.
So many kingdomes like the anglian bowmens.
If you mean longbowmen are Over-powered meaning they are above their capabilities i would disagree. But if you mean over-powered meaning they wore lesser armor and had to retreat in the face of well armoured footmen then I would agree.

They wear no armour in KoH (or at least have no defense AFAIK)
but compared to other ranged units they are better than they should be. They shold have advantage and I'm sure they'll have it still.
But you could simply have army of 9 longbowmen and defeat almost any army. That's what I mean as overpowered.
Read it somewhere and will post it soon!!!!!!!!
Difference of ranged fire distances and rates of fire ranging from Our own native American Indians in the U.S.A. to arabic horsemen and Welsh Longbowmen.

I'm looking forward. :go:
Would be nice if there are also Mongol and Turkic horse archers.
Their bows were comparatively not much weaker than longbows. And in the game...
Attention modders!
• NEW: Many AI tweaks are now available in: defs\difficulty.in2 and defs\globals.in2 ([AI] section).
I think we can change more in this direction.
Yay, and noticed it. I wonder what will there be tweakable (I mean especialy in those 2 files: difficulty.in2 and globals.in2). I'm really looking forward

As far as i can see, almost everything will be tweakable...so everyone will be able to adapt the game to it's tastes and that's great.
First what i do is looking inside the files, before i start to play...
pls, patch come now!

 it took me some tim eto understand it
Don't need to go there mate :go:
Feudalism worked in its time that is a fact. It worked in its primitive time because men based their loyalties on sheer loyalty alone along with the principles they believed in. It could work today but men are not of the same mettle today (liberalized and woman-like in my opinion. Hail to Simon DiMontfort of Norman England and King Edward the 1st of England the fathers of modern day democracy.(I have a half written movie script on their behalf - credits to the comic book villain king Henry the 3rd of England) the weather **** king and the strong resoluteness of Edward the Longshanks, unobstructively England's greatest King.
I read also somewhere on the forums that you were a history buff as well Elvain.
