I just noticed that this thread was the second busiest thread in the forum as of late! And very close to being the busiest! KoH revival! Yes!

It's actually quite interesting how much activity the patch has caused. There are so many "invisible" people playing KoH who now suddenly appear. It's nice to see that this game still has a big group of players.

well i played the 2nd patch and saw a problem, when i wanted to look where i can build longbowmen, or another unit in europe, but it isnt idicated?? the only towns who are GREEN are the units i already have. So i cant see where i can build feudal knights for example ?? is it a bug in the patch or something ?
It has own thread. I really wonder if it was meant to be like this or if it's just a bug.
Is it moddable?
i dunno, hopefully IF you would make another mod ,u can maybe adjust it and the rest like that holy rome mod

Does the new patch replace the 1st one?
I installed it over the top of the 1st one.
Just wondering incase I do a fresh reinstall of KOH:cheers:

patch 1.05 includes 1.03 and can be installed on vanilla KoH or the patched one.

I tried today to reunite Byzantia with Epirus, but I couldn't see any changes concerning the kingdom title. Actually it was even worse, neither the flag nor the color of the kingdom changed, only the name.
PS: Something different: An user in the German forum was reporting that every time he decided to inherit some provinces from an other kingdom he got 13' million of gold pieces as well. I didn't get this when I ihnerited once, but he said that he even reinstalled the game and the 13 million were still added to his treasure. Did anyone of you notice something similar? Probably there's something else wrong, but I just wanted to see if he's the only one...
I have inherited lands a number of times since the patch, but I haven't recived such sums. Somebody did find an AI with 13 million though!

A problem I have is that my kings dies before having childs and, instead of one of my knight taking over the throne, my empire break up and I am left with only 1-2 provinces  Very frustrating!

Before your king dies without heirs you should always make sure that you have dealt with all nostalgia in your empire. Otherwise those nostalgic local nobles will see their opportunity to break free.
The alternative is to remove all garrison units and townguards 2 minutes before you expect your king to die. Strategically place your marshalls and as soon as the old infertile dies you capture all towns that declared independance within a couple of minutes.

Okay, however I must say I take care of nostalgia right away when conquering a province. Last time my King died, nostalgia was removed from all my provinces.
sometimes when the king dies with no heir and there is no clear successor (no knight is significantly stronger) a "civil war" takes place. That means most of provinces you conquered are lost.
If there is nostalgia, they join their former kingdom, if there is no nostalgia, they become independent kingdoms

I once had a very stable, happy, rich kingdom, but only had a childless king on my Royal Court. (only one knight)
When he died, the game appointed a noble to lead a new dynasty, and my kingdom continued without any problems. :bday:
I was expecting the game to suddenly end or at least for my kingdom to splinter, but I was very impressed that the game did this. :go:
