OK so..... please someone answer there for me...
1. I need a compleate monoploy of Ore, and the killing of pirates correct?
2. I can have all ore mines on sleep mode and still concidered monolpoly correct?
3. There is no goal for an amount of ore in warhouse/market correct?
Finally, i need confirmation on how the points will be tallyed.
From the last contest Frieden gave points for AI Aristos and Own aristos. Will there be more of the same?
Also i would ask again for at least a rough translation of the contest download page.

Annophil,
Excellent contest scenario!!!
Have you received any entries yet?

@Budgie: No, I think I am still in the beginning of the game. 7 or 8 mines is not that much...
@JoeCool2: I think you are right - you need the iron ore monopoly, there is no limit for iron ore in your warehouse and you have no warehouse limit. Sleeping mode for ore mines is alright if the mine can still produce iron ore (i.e. the ore symbol should be visible at the top of the hill - I noticed that it will be gone if you produced the last ton of ore and the ore is still in the mine).
According to a statement of annophil, he already received some scenarios - including one where the editor was used extensively (complete islands were exchanged). Personally, I think I will need the time until the end of the month...
There was no statement concerning the points; only the number of producing ore mines will decide who gets the first place. If there are two submissions with the same number of mines, it might be that there are two first places, or that the scenario wins which was submitted earlier.
I also tried to translate the mission text and the conditions from here (http://www.annozone.de/forum/thread.php?sid=&postid=40114):
A Small Christmas Contest...
... so that the time is not that boring!
For the friends of Anno 1602, I start a contest with a task that I have held in reserve for a longer time. It is one without big secret functionalities.
To the small Contest site (http://www.olydorf.de/)
The conditions are quite simple:
Download the scenario and save it in the Own Scenarios folder. Start the game and begin. Please choose the red flag, that will simplify the procedure if there are any queries.
Download Scenario (http://www.olydorf.de/Eisenerlei.szs)
What a nice start...
Once more, your king has a nice test for you: In a newly discovered island world, you should enforce his claim for leadership.
Your task:
Get the monopoly for iron ore and defeat the pirates from this island world.
The winner is who has the biggest number of working iron ore mines shortly befor the scenario ends automatically. ("working" means: only mines which can still produce iron ore will be counted. Exhausted or collapsed mines will not be counted.)
The contest starts on December 24, 2004 in the evening.
The closing date for submissions is January 31, 2005 at 20:00 (Cental European Time).
Please save the game shortly before it ends automatically and send the savegame with your complete address to annophil. The address is:
annophil@gmx.de
Are there any prizes? - That will be decided in mid-January only. Unfortunately, I had no time to look for a sponsor up to now. So, for the time being you will only play for fun and honour.
BTW I realized only now that I play with the wrong color - I have blue, not red. I already asked annophil if that is a problem, and I also asked concerning the procedure if there are two scenarios with exactly the same number of ore mines. ;)

Oh No, I also have used blue for my color. :bash:
Let me know what annophil says.
You can choose a other colour then red.
Only post him, that you had choosen a other colour and which one of course.
Helpfull is, when you write how many active oremines do you have.
(I read this in the thread from the annozone.)
And there will be the winners publish too.
here and then on "Weihnachtswettbewerb" (http://www.annozone.de)
Helpfull is, when you write how many active oremines do you have.
Not only helpful, but important, as I already saw ore symbols disappear over ore mountains that were not yet exhausted. When I sailed to the islands again, the symbols reappeared. To play safe when you send in your savegame, you should give annophil the number of mines you've counted.

The problem is not the prize, the problem is the sponsor. If you like... ;)
@Budgie: No, I think I am still in the beginning of the game. 7 or 8 mines is not that much......
Hey, then you're much further than me.
Round about seven mines further. Or eight
By the way, I've changed yellow
I also changed to yellow, (I always use yellow). And I haven't [layed in several days, I went to visit family over the New Year holiday, but I am back and ready to start back up.

I am working on it. I have been playing with it and my trade routes are fun. A lot of relay shipping.

I guess everyone playing has decided that we'll all tie for first place so there's not much to talk about!
