great job..Elvain
thanks
if anybody has any comments, I'd like to improve the maps...
maybe I'll make a rough concept of the Balkans and hope that some comments moving my topic forward may emerge

:go: that would be great...
the czech atlases are not very good and there is only very few of them and it's hard to get some better...
If it would be possible, I'd like to have all european countries documented as much as possible, but what I need the most is Balkans, Hungary, Russia(southern), Scandinavia and if there are some muslim regions too... it would be perfect :hello:  :go:

I don't know how could I...
sad I didn't make those maps BEFORE the game was done...
could please anyone read names of the small refions inside Serbia (the grey-blue part of this map (http://img378.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bulgaria23rb.jpg) ) especialy those in Macedonia...
I hope the problem for me isn't cyrilic, but the resolution, so if anyone knows their names, I'd be glad to know.
Thanks

Sorry, Elvain, but those inscriptions there aren't names of regions, but of their rulers. I don't think they'll be of any use to you.
Btw I see the map's from the BGNS site. You know they're a mainly nationalist movement, right?
P.S. Oh, I do happen to have a few Bulgarian maps from one electronic encyclopaedia. And if you don't have problems with the Cyrillic, maybe you'd like to see them (although I think there are no regions in them). But if I send them to you, you'd need a bigger mail-box, cuz there are 21 maps (from Antiquity (3, before the Slavs) and the middle ages (18, from the Slavs till the Ottomans arrivals)) and they are around 12MB. Or when I have time (I'm on work tomorrow, so probably Tuesday), I could possibly upload them in the net. And btw I'll also check or ask in one Bulgarian historical forum (boinaslava.net), although if you wish, you could also ask about it there - they have an international section (for English, Russian, German etc.) and most of them are more or less "professionals" (quite few "nationalists").
I have no problem with cyrilic, it's ok. and I have over GB mailbox, so there's no problem...
and I don't need maps from anticity, middle ages are enough
thanks :go:
PS: it seems that Wikipedia uses lot of nationalistic sources (Slovakian nationalists as source for Greater Moravia, Bulgarian for maps of Bulgaria...)

Ok, I've sent them in your Gmail account. And later I might upload and post them in the forum too...

Hi Elvain,
I will try to scan for you all the map (only Europe, I think the rest of World is not interesting for you) from 700-1800 if you want, but the atlas is more focused on west Europe than on East. I think, The Roman Holy Empire is more detailed than you have shown us.
The format of pages in atlas is beween A4 and A3 so I will cut only the maps, sometimes without text. I hope yuo will have no problem with German legends.
I then next week I will send it to you. I hope our scanner will be ok, sometimes is crazy.
nice day

that's great :go:
I think up to 1500 it is enough (especially Germany is in later times too fragmented-even more than in 15th century)
and if there are some map of north Africa and the Middle east, it would be great to see them too... (if you have time) and though I don't understand german I am convinced I can understand map legends
