Tons of novelties will be shown there - to the press and to consumers.
It's a real event and we're going to be on-site.
E3 takes place from 12th until 14th of may in the LA Convention Center.

This (http://www.lacclink.com/) is the LACC.

No need to be sorry, Emhyr :)

Yeahhh, it's THE place to be, i'll guess that most of users here in Europe would probably sacrifice our souls to visit the E3 show just once in our lives - to me the E3 show is almost a holy as Mekka are to the muslems, coz they have EVERYTHING at that show i.e cool games, and hot chicks in other words it's PARADISE :p

An Ottoman jannisary from the 1300, no beard and, with a Turkish flag from 1923? Doesn't make much sence to me.

If you have a better idea youself you're MOST welcome share it with the rest of us.....

Neither the users nor the devs can use you statement above to much good !

You should take a look at Elewyn's site. He has a large collection of flags and maps from the midieval period:
http://elvain.album.cz/heraldry/?strana=6 or simply http://elvain.album.cz - it's really worth a look.

to Turkey, I must say that's it's really really hard to find some islamic heraldry. If you, HexHammer, will find some really accurate symbol which is not too complicated to be redrawn by game graphics. I found some, but it was some white writtings in arab letters on a red flag. I think that EVERYBODY here will be pleased if you give some link or whatever else with arabic heraldry.

Till it's missing, the devs must substitute it by something which may seem not so bad(modern), but not really made up.
Halfmoon is islamic symbol. Green is colour of Islam, but there will be many islamic kingdoms(more than two:)), so not every islamic kingdom can have green flag with some symbol (mostly halfmoon), and as I found it, Ottomans' colour was red.

Ok let me try explain myself further. Heraldic was used by European nobles, to signal who they were, because the visor, would cover their faces, unlike the eastern warriors, thus their fellow knights could keep track of eatchother.
After a battle heralds, would search the battlefield to keep track of how many fallens, who fell ..etc. The slain would often be so mangled that the face wasn't reconiceable, thus the heraldic would help them identify the body.

Q) Why identifying a dead dude so importaint?
A) Because, they had to know if the first born was dead, so the 2nd bornd could inherit

Janissaires never had heradic painted on their clothing, only on standarts and banners, so I'm just wondering why they put that herald on the jannisary, a heraldic combo only done in 1923 (as far as I know).
I think it's fine without heraldic, just color the boarders of the mantel and that silly hat.

you're right. There's no need to put the halfmoon on their cloth, but it's the devs' decision. Maybe they did it because to make them "equal" with Templars who have cross.

btw, I made some research with another key owrds and I found this link (http://www.ismaili.net/Source/myflag/05fatimid.html) about Fatimid banners(arabian dynasty ruling mostly from Egypt since 9th century):

The Fatimids adopted green as the colour of their standard. According to "American Educator" (New York, 1973, 7th vol., p. 131), "Green is frequently found in Arab flags because this colour was taken by the Fatimite dynasty, which ruled most of north Africa." It is also mentioned in "The New Encyclopaedia Britannica" (15th ed., 4th vol., p. 812) that, "Green was the colour of the Fatimid dynasty and eventually it became the colour of Islam."

And also a link about islamic banners here (http://www.ismaili.net/Source/myflag/04islamic.html) Ibn Abbas narrates that the colour of the Prophet's flag was green and of standard white. During the battle of Badr, three different banners however were used; the bigger one was in the hands of Ali bin Abu Talib, containing the symbol of an eagle (ukab), representing the force of the Muhajirin.
*edit* some other links with colours for Arab dynasties:pan-arab colours (http://flagspot.net/flags/arabcols.html#ori) Red
The Khawarij were the first Islamic group to emerge after the assassination of Caliph Uthman III, forming the first republican party in the early days of Islam. Their symbol was the red flag. Arab tribes who participated in the conquest of North Africa and Andalusia carried the red flag, which became the symbol of the Islamic rulers of Andalusia (756-1355).
In modern times, red symbolizes the Ashrafs [ie. Sharifians] of the Hijaz and the Hashemites, descendants of the Prophet.
Green: The Fatimid Dynasty (909-1171), North Africa
The Fatimid Dynasty was founded in Morocco by Abdullah Al-Mahdi, and went on rule all of North Africa. They took green as their color, to symbolize their allegiance to Ali, the Prophet's cousin, who was once wrapped in a green coverlet in place of the Prophet in order to thwart an assassination attempt.
White: The Umayyad Dynasty (661-750), Damascus
The Umayyads ruled for ninety years, taking white as their symbolic color as a reminder of the Prophet's first battle at Badr, and to distinguish themselves from the Abbasids, by using white, rather than black, as their color of mourning. Mu'awia Ibn Abi Sufian (661-750), founder of the Umayyad state, proclaimed himself Caliph of Jerusalem.
Black: The Prophet Mohammad (570-632)
In the seventh century, with the rise of Islam and subsequent liberation of Mecca, two flags - one white, one black - were carried. On the white flag was written, "There is no god but God (Allah) and Mohammad is the Prophet of God."
In pre-Islamic times, the black flag was a sign of revenge. It was the color of the headdress worn when leading troops into battle. Both black and white flags were placed in the mosque during Friday prayers.
The Abbasid Dynasty (750-1258), ruling from Baghdad, took black as a symbol of mourning for the assassination of relatives of the Prophet and in remembrance of the Battle of Karbala.
Quoted source: Mahdi Abdul Hadi, Evolution of the Arab Flag, Amman, February 1986

btwhere (http://www.iranica.com/articles/v10f1/v10f103a.html) are many links to arabian flags and banners, but unfortunately black/white

As I was browsing through the screenshots, I noted the monestary picture had an oddlooking unit, it looked like a "lowerd turbo-ram" with no ramrod installed, do you people know what it is?

Located in right side, middle

It's not sooo big the update, but Sunflowers and BSS sre busy for the E3, so it's ok...I have no problem with the update. We can't have everytimes a big one...

But I really like the vikings, they are cool!

Edit: I didn't saw the wallpaper, I like it! But why are there this black lines on the map. Is this because the map outlines aren't correct and you want to show how it is in reality or what?

The update it self is quite all right... but i'm a little disapointed that the vikings has horns on their helmets, its a fact that they didn't have anything like that in reality...

the knightly sword

ok i just wanna know why vikings got weak armors and weak wooden shields. the real vikings didnt have weak armors .they were strong and they had good armors.
