dont know where to put it, but there is still this strange "2-seconds-typing-delay" during posting.
Excactly, and i'm so sick and tiered of this.

what that delay is... it is the new board system... lol..... the old version was quicker to post all the previous posts...
back on topic.
Mr Frank, are there specific symbols to detonate (show, not the BOOM meaning) sieges so we can get a over-view of which provences are under siege?

I would also like to know this i.e it should be made so player can get a quick overview by looking at the "world" map.
So Frank needs to give a comment on this one (fast)

Basically there are two different type of artworks for the battles.
1) ones where you are involved in
2) ones where foreign kingdoms are involved in
Please do not forget that Europe is below the fog of war. It would spoil the whole system to tell you exactly what kind of battles are currently happening in other kingdoms which are covered by the fog of war.
So battles in foreign kingdoms are just battles.
Battles in your kingdom / your armies involved will be clearly shown. On the right of your screen you have always icons (in political and strategic view) which tell you the type of battles.
It would spoil the whole system to tell you exactly what kind of battles are currently happening in other kingdoms which are covered by the fog of war.
Well, Frank, i'm not so sure about that one, besides if one looks at the various screenshots one can see a small text in the left corner which tell who's has declared war, made alliances with eachother and so fourth, so it is not "concealed" for us.
As i understand it from you comment, the only thing we'll be able to see at the "worldmap" is when a war i going on, but not who the two sides are - well, perhaps it's not necarssary to know this, but still i would prefer to have this information.
Just my 2 cents

Battle and war are completely different things Henrik.
You can be with someone in war without having a single battle.
Also if you have:
- A spy infitrated as marshal
- A spy as Merchant, Landlord, Builder or Cleric infiltrated
- An army present
... then you can look into the other province
If you have:
- A spy as Puppetking
- An alliance
... then you can look into the other kingdom
Also you can read rumours from spies and merchants, when infiltrated or trading with a kingdom. These rumours can be also very precise.
The messages on the bottom, you were refering to, are about wars. And you can whenever you want to check the stances of EVERY kingdom.

Good system!
The more you "spend" the more you know about your enemy. Also i like the fact that some info is vague, it simulates the rumors that were most of the news back then. Although we'll know that a battle is fought right away while back then they sometimes had months to waits for that news to filter through.
Sounds like a great fog of war setup! You can even lift it were needed by sending out spies, so you can learn the lay of the land before engaging them in battle. Really nice and pretty realistic.
No no no. If you see the battle - you as well can see who is fighting.
I'm really looking forward to being able play KoH.
This game is gonna ROCK  8) :D

at the last knight's left shoulder(to the right)the gate means the knight is in some of your towns
I don't know what the eye means, but the last one is probably trade agreement or trade treaty signed by the merchant (knight in golden frames is a merchant)
the eye means spying i think

The eye at the spy's left shoulder might show that he's currently on a mission. The other spy (the one on the right) doesn't have the eye, so he's propably just lurking around the royal court watching out for other spies :go: .
Anyway, I guess we'll only find this out if either a dev tells us or we play the game by ourselves ...
Did you notice that august is quite near? The demo was to be released about a month before the release :go: .

The screenshot has a resolution of 800x600. In the final game you will see things in a higher resolution, so it will be much easier to identify.
