I am in no hurry...i want the patch to be good.

I am currently playing Medieval: TW (first one) and it's so easy! The game is not bad with a lot of good features, even if i don't like the fact that spies, priests etc are all on the same map as it requires a lot of micromanagement, but the strategic AI is just pathetic...it's my second game (ever) and i play only VH/VH: i just take one province after the other! ....Koh made me sweat a lot more (especially with the mods).
the more i play MTW, the more i am looking forward to the patch for KoH.

Do you mean Medieval 2? Or the first one? The new one is a lot better then the first.

But yes, I would prefer KOH patched then Medieval 2. But I'm afraid we'll be getting many more patches from Total War then from here. If this one patch fixes everything thats wrong, then awesome, but most patches don't.

I am talking about Medieval: Total War 1....i've read a lot about Medieval 2 and while i think that the game has a lot of great features, the strategic ai seems to be stupid for the moment. I need some challenge in a game....

You have to admit it, Knights of Honor could be improved by copying some features of Medieval 2, and without shame, because M2 is a great game.

- The season system
- crusade can be controlled ( recruit fanatics and pelgrims etc...)
- Mod friendly
- Guilds, ...

but these are hard to get into a patch, I know.

Baah, no need to change anything. Everything just needs to be fixed.

I doubt it'll come out till Christmas. After all, the patch should be game-tested. And from personal experience I can say that testing a game takes much more than a week...

It would be nice if pictures of temples, if religion is “pravoslaviye” (I don’t know how it’s called in english), in patch will be different from catholic.
And also “heretic” religion most nave a official status and its own temples. Just for releasing fantasy of player and for more fun! :go:

Of course, Medieval 2 is amazing, looks fantastic and has a lot of great features...

Still...i've played Shogun and Medieval 1 (the others won't run on my computer) and, while i enjoy playing them, there is no challenge on the strategy map....i am currently playing the Turks in High on vh/vh and am taking one province after the other from the Golden Horde and i don't even fight the battles myself! it's too easy....i am not a strategy genious...when i play Spartan on the hardest settings, i lose very often....but not in the TW games...and, for what i've read so far, Medieval 2 is equally easy...

I will buy the game when i get a new computer that's for sure, but i hope they work on the ai...otherwise there's not much replayability...

Medieval 2 has brilliant graphics, but I think it's challing because of the heresy / relation with the pope / crusades / missions ( like from the senate in Rome: TW) Capture a settlement before a certain time....

Also, when playing the battles yourself, the enemy tries to flank you etc...

btw, how is it going with the patch?

will there be a feature list? (no I'm still patient, but just curious :dwink: and would like to turn the discussion again slowly back to KoH and it's 2nd patch )

have they said anything about using some of the community for testing? I hope they do. Angryminer is my first nomination.

Yes, that would be nice. Angryminer would be ideal tester I guess, then also Laudan and Traveller...

Elvain too of course....

Sorry, too busy with the actual testing job. And sometimes I might work even in the weekends (today - only 11 hours, although we could've stayed even longer). But if I can - I'd be honored to help in my free days!

Yes Elvain and Laudan would have also been my nominations, for sure.

But not me, I no nothing about the technical aspects.

The main problem for the testing, which I see, is that the nominated testers should play the game somewhere. This usually happens in special places, like the offices of the developer or the producer. Thus, f.e. Angry shouldn't have a problem with it. And Elvain's been travelling quite a lot recently, so maybe he could go to Germany too? But, of course, specifically for Elvain, he's a trusted enough member of this community, so I guess he could just be emailed with the patch. You won't leak it to the net, would you, Elvain?

Just ordered the game. I hope it'll reach my country. 28 Euros is not that bad for this gem. And I ordered it BEFORE I knew about the new patch, too!

It's just that I downloaded this game (really sorry  ), and really liked it, but forgot about it. But after I played that horrid Medieval 2, I couldn't help but wanting to play this amazing game all over again.

This game is awesome, I can't wait for the patch.

The only thing I wish added - diplomacy. I want some allies! I want help from my allies, too! Medeival 2's lack of diplomacy really disappointed me to no ends. This game really has shallow gameplay, in my opinion.

Keep up the great work, Black Sea Studios!

Traveller, Of course I wouldn't!

but I think it's rather a sci-fi. True is that the main thing is the testing.. but Webmaster already knows my adress if he would be suspicious about me (if they would hypothetically send me the game to test it), he could accuse me. I'm no longer anonymous for Sunflowers

But anyway. In following weeks I have a term-test every 2-3 days, so I guess I won't have much time for testing

BTW, Frujin? How is the patch work going?

Anguille2

Yes...Frujin...how's life in Sofia? and how's the work on the patch?
