The patch is going very well! I was playing on hard durin the weekend for some long time with Savoy (1 realm start). It was not too hard to "boot up", but very soon I went very very sweet. One mistake with the diplomacy can make you wiped out in minutes now. Also, "steamrolling" entire Europe with 2,3 pairs of superb marshals is not that easy to do now.

Great news, Frujin! I had no problems with Jerusalem Hard in vanilla KoH and that was supposed to be one of the hardest to play! This change in the AI is indeed great news! :go:

That's really good news, nice to know it.

I just hope that when the AI is at war with you he attacks and is a real threat for our cities.

also important and simple, make it less frequent that a catholic country has an alliance with a islamitic country.

Careful. He didn't actually say the AI was improved... he said the game was harder- could be they just slammed the Human with multiple team-ups and gave the AI unlimited resources and/or simply allow it to ignore all the game rules... ala 1701. This will keep the game unplayable, if they solve the problems this way, IMO.

I hope they don't, however...

I hope so too. I hope the AI also goes for the advanced goods things that are in the game, and uses Merchants better- also I hope they fix the Merchant inbalance that has been in this game since day one... where you get a few merchants going and your money problems are OVER forever...

I even had to mod OUT merchants for the human player past 1 for the game to be any challenge at all...

Pulling the push pin out of this one, and replacing it with the new update!

Plonk! Damn that hurt, it fell and hit me in the head when I pulled that pin, and it as heavy as it was, I've got a knot already! Icebag, somebody!

Maybe, I can get my wife to rub it and make it feel better!
Oh, it was my head that got bumped though! Nevermind!

I'll be alright, next time I will have to make sure I approach it from above!

I'm glad Frujin has came back.. and the activity of KoH board may revive with this fact..

I was losing my hope, especially after the map-editor failiure.

If the editor will be fixed in the patch and the game will become much more mod-friendly, it seems KoH could survive even longer.. and it could live more vital live than now untill.............. KoH2 ?
