Personally, I think it would be great to battle my friends on Europe. If it wasn't more than a few players everyone would know that pretty much everyone else has spies in their court and spying all over. It would be so awesome to finally notbe forced to play just against the computers...

Webmaster is employee of a company which now can only decide if the game will be supported or not. Not BSS, but Sunflowers hold the rights as far as I know. But Webmaster is not the one who has the right of decission.

I am just one of those who fell in love with this game. And because it happened to me almost a year before it was released and now I have spent lot of time on it so I know many things about the game. But not everything! I would like to know some other things, but makers of the game keep it secret...

Angryminer is something like I am...

I'll be happy if they add a door to the keeps. and maybe a further ZOOM OUT for the battle maps, I feel they are a little too close to see a castle siege, its nice to zoom out or have the option, and as for the door Lords of the Realm2 had doors that could be hacked down, atleast this would delay an enemy and make it more challenging.

Over all though its a wonderful game, and with the Glory of God mod it seems even better, although I did change the marshals cost down from what he had, I dont believe in playing the game with 1 marshal. lol

Cheers.

I would like to see an addition not to the game itself -- which continues to impress me with how deep it is -- but with a utility.

I'd like to see a GUI that is a front end for modding the configuration files. And it could also be for running various mods without having to manually delete directories, unzip pak files, etc.

One thing I would like to see added, more a 'functional' thing, is the abiltiy to choose where the games are saved - the current save location wouldnt be my first choice!

Welcome to the forum, Reader81! :go:
1. There is currently no official statement wether there will be another patch or not. But it should be expected very soon.
2. The crashes are very seldom. But, there seem to be special systems where they occur more frequently.

Thank you for welcome me, Angryminer!
I see My System are

AMD Athlon 64 Processor
3000+
2.01, 1.00 GB of RAM
Radeon ATI 9800 Pro 256mb
Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2

so this shouldn't cause crash or it's will because Win XP?
Man, I need to control myself "I must have that game today!" UPS should be here at maybe 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. I would buy at store to save shipping fee $15 and wonldn't be here on forum since I play all night long but they didnt have one so I order online to get now :). I read about Holy Rome 1.5, dose it's major fixed crash or no, did you make that mod? See you later!

1. It isn't very much predictable wether the game will crash or not. Some people in the forums here however believe that the crashs appear more frequently on high-end-systems.
2. No I didn't create Holy Rome. Holy Rome is Elvain's work. I created Glory of God.
3. No, none of the mods change anything about KoH's crashing behaviour.

I wish you best luck with UPS and a nice time playing KoH. :go:

no, Win XP won't probably cause the problem I guess
here is a system whete the crashing problems in battles emerged:P4 3.6 Prescott w/ HT
2Gb ddr 400 3-2-3-5 Memory PC3200
Raptor 74Gb Hard Drive 10k rpm
ATI Radeon X800XT PE
WinXP Pro SP2
DirectX 9C
Latest Drivers installed for Video and Motherboard.
it seems that you have different. Also I think that the problem was caused by some specifications so youcan be calm...

So I wish you to get your game as soon as possible.
Try it unmodded first. And if you find it too easy try some of mods.
Holy Rome's major bug is fixed, but to be honest, I can't be 100% sure as I don't have my CD (actualy only Gustavus Adolphus has some problems I can't fix as I lended my copy to a friend of mine)

I recently purchased this game for my brother and myself and am disturbed by this companies policy on a new patch.I have played through the game fully on hard 3 times and each time I dominated the map with no resistance. What kind of company releases a game then rereleases it in another part of the world knowing fully well that there are serious AI flaws throughout the game. Then to punch themselves in the nuts again they open a poll asking whether players are interested in seeing another patch.

OF COURSE WE WANT ANOTHER PATCH!!!!

Have they not heard the opinions from the players and seen the ever continuing problems with the horrendous AI.Why is it that to enjoy the game I paid for I have to download a third party mod?( I have not tried GOG or Holy Rome but according to the reviews they TKO the original with a 19 year old Mike Tyson left hook, right uppercut combo.)

I do like the style of this game and the possibilties it has for further enhancement. The design is original with a new twist to Medieval strategy.( I hated the Stronghold and Lords of the Realm series.)

I hope I have not ranted and raved for too long but I've now said my piece.I just hope they heard me.

MAKE ANOTHER PATCH OR WATCH YOUR KINGDOM DIE!!!!!!

... and we are aware of the opinions and problems mentioned here.
sorry, but are you really? Are you really aware that none of people who saw your policy towards your customers will ever buy any SF product?

Can Paradox make some preasure on Sunflowers? they seem to care of their cuistomers more than Sunflowers and as KoH is for many people(North Americans) asocieted more with Paradox than Sunflowers they would not want to suffer any harm from this ignorant policy of Sunflowers.
Because if paradox could, I would ask them to do so. BSS probably can't do anything, they only suffer by this. I know you - Webmaster - are unguilty of that and you are just employee of this company. I am sorry to type these words, but I can't help myself...

i read and report things mentioned here. so does nadine, too. also fruijin reads here from time to time.
but i don't make the decisions to produce one nor the decisions to report any results, decisions, ... ! i can only give my advise or opinion with the reports.

if there will be a new patch, it costs money. 1st money for the BSS devs. 2nd money for the SF QA. and nevertheless it is some kind of political decision concerning the many wishes for a 2nd patch. will the community be pleased with our work or not?

i am sorry, that i cannot tell you anything new ;(

i am sorry, that i cannot tell you anything new ;(I know this all-that you can't do anything but forward our demands and that it will cost money.

But:
1) would it be better to spend some money and have satisfied customers or to save money and make many people to decide not to ever buy any more SF published game?
2) political decision? will the comunity like it or not? It seems that responsible people rather think this way: is it worth to show good will? how to fog that we don't want?
3) cost of money: In several months many ideas how to improve the game were collected. First part is done. Modders don't know how game mechanics work, though we are abe to improve the AI quite a lot in 2weeks(testing included) so one guy in BSS would be able to do in 1 week what we have done in 2 months. And then test it... I'm sure you would have many volunteer free testers who could help you(maybe this is a little naive, I asume)
Ideas are done, you just need to select as much of them as possible and consider what more to add to game to make it more fun and then do it and announce it.

To me the main thing is the AI. Master of Orion is an old game and options are much less than in KoH. Still it's my fav 4x game as the balance is correct and the ai tough. I love KoH too but a real challenge from the AI would make the game remain on my computer for the next 10 years.

Well I think we all got our answer on this companies policies. To say that money comes over fixing a broken product is the lamest excuse I ever heard from a company. If all companies took this we'll make it but you have to fix it cause it's already broken and we don't want to fix it approach we wouldnt buy anything.

Sorry webmaster but you just convinced me that your company is more worried about annual profits and quarterly incomes than customer satisfaction.I hope everyone here reads what you wrote and thinks deeply on it.

Well if this company doesn't want to fix their product I propose that we develop a non-official patch.I will help with this any way possible because I love the style of this game.

Just remember one thing:If it wasn't for us you wouldn't have a company.
