this wasn't a offical statement for or against a patch. it was my view to share with you. this is the frame where a decision is to be made, if and with which amount or if not and why!!!
i would really prefer a 2nd patch.

a patch only if it adds a cooperative campaign .. if not, better concentrate on KoH2 :)

Oh yes a second patch please !! where we could play (LAN or internet) with others players on EUROP map, with others country command by IA. Ex : we are 2 players, not necessary allied, we play on europa map, we can be allied, with no relation etc... or ennemy and we game with all country directed by AI artifical intelligence. I think this point could be very important for life of this game. And i think too if you decid to take this important point, that 3 or 4 players on europ Map could be very fun.
We could be allied 2vs2 and fight too on others country directed by AI, and why not lunch war on a players : 2vs2 ==> 3vs1 :lol: or conquest all country with AI on 4vs AI :go: and fight after betwen players. :angel:

so basically no multiplayer on Europe?

If the AI is buffed before the summer is out, I would be satisfied. I'm waiting for AoE III for multiplayer.
Nevertheless, KoH is a good game even though shelf life is around 1 week of all out play. Still happy with that for what I paid . . . Buuuuuuut . . . I had to use the various mods available up here to get by the last few days. I want hard to mean hard folks.
Be proud, you made a good game. Please don't give up on it yet. Thanks.

I think a second patch needs to come out to address the AI Issue and to hopefully prvoided more battle features and depth.
Also A better morale system so fights can last longer and bigger sized units. does sunflowers listen?

I dont understand. This game could have an long life with this mod. We could save when we quit. But if you dont want included a coop mode on europ map, i say ; ok... if you want. sniiffff :sad:
For SOLO mode on europ, i think it could be fun if we could fight in one battle with allied army. Big battle where we could have 2 army with 2 friend army, on 2 or 4 ennemy army... Real war !!
i see too ennemy dont use defense on tower (soldier burn). I think we could included a lot of good idea from other players on this forum. I have read comments, they are excellent. Except for the coop mod on europ mode (who know if there is team interest to develop this MOD ? :hello: ) you have a lot of informations to do an excellent patch for a better game. :go:

At this state of time we're checking with Black Sea Studios what else can be done for KoH. This is - and that's no secret - a matter of money, too.
The list that Angyminer and some more people created is the basis for this discussion but I can't tell you anything about the outcome at the moment, sorry.
This kind of discussion is not my department (from the development side) and also I have to admit that I do not understand all of it :wink:
...what I'm trying to say is that I'm not involved in these discussions but the guys who are are keeping me on the track.
I know that it's not the kind of comment you'd like to hear from me but at least I thought you'd like to get an update from me in my function as a "SF employee".
As soon as there's anything new I can tell you I'll do so - but until then I have to ask you kindly to be patient.

why not a Add-on ? the add-on, we could buy, you could have money... and so you could includ the coop mod on europ map !!
and i suggest to an innovation : if money is really important, you developp your add-on and as VALVE, you take your ADD-ON only on the web, people want it pay on web and download it. Price of distribution is 0... why not ?
because when money is an problem, i understand your team dont be really happy to work on a free project... here, patch.
What think other players on this subject ? :confused:

I've come late to the KoH party. As it stands now, I want to love this game and it has a lot going for it. But unless the AI is improved it is, ultimately, a failure. I've already convinced 3 people not to buy KoH until and unless another patch is released to fix the AI. I've also made my feelings clear in several public forums.
A lot of people clearly put a lot of effort into KoH. It's a shame that all that work will go to waste if the AI isn't fixed.

I registered just to vote for a patch too, the game is great in the "conquest map" although the diplomacy A.I is very weak, but the A.I on the "battle map" is far worse specially when compared to games like Total War, Total War turn based conquest map is annoying and I find KoH much better in that but the battles in KoH are simply weak and I kinda agree with the above post, without a big improvement in A.I this game will die fast and it's a shame cause if this was already implemented before release this game could've been one of the best RTS ever and beat Total War hands down.. but as it is it's not, it's crappy to have a much smaller army and still beat the hell out of the enemy with the same strategy allways working, at the end the empire feels like "given" instead of conquered.
So in my opinion what should be improved:
-Better A.I at diplomacy level
-Much better A.I in battles (like total war)
-Bigger battles if possible or zoom out options so we could make em bigger trough the game files
I think with this 3 things implemented it would be enough to make it a much better game.

I suggest to developp files for save game. But now, i dont know where are my savegames, i dont know what profiles etc... When we want format C: it could be good if we could copy savegames. But to copy, we must know where they are ! :scratch:

Can you develop please in your patch watter to defend building ?? because they are on europ map in city but not when we play in tactical with units. It could be very fun if we could play this situation !! the screen shoot is very beautiful but i am sorry ; i have never play with watter for defense. :sad:
Other suggestion for patch ; developp the idea to burn building. When we are in tactical mod, we attack ennemy city, we can burn building but we dont see an real effect.

and final suggestion (lol :biggrin: ) : i suggest to developp the defense for middle castle. When ennemy capture castle, we dont failed if army not destroyed or chief not dead. This situation have an effect : we are not interest to capture castle because there is no bonus, no effects... i suggest develop option : when army capture castle, ennemy defense come back and fight on castle. If we defend, if ennemy capture castle, we could have soldiers get out battle... its so an first objectiv : defend or capture castle. Now, in the game in V.1.03, when we attack an city, the first objectiv is to destroy ennemy army. i suggest to report this objectif to the only capture of the middle castle. its more hard... :hello:
