I say B) Roamnia. If I understand your question right, then it doesn't matter if the country lost independence again afterwards.

Serbia and bulgaria were already medieval states, Greece got independent in 19th century, Montenegro is wrong and Romania I'm not sure but I think it was around 1900...

originaly I meant modern independence but you reasoned the only right answer because otherwise it would be Montenegro.

In modern age it would be Bulgaria but since the beggining of history the right answer is Romania. How could I forget middle ages? :silly:
But I asked "Which of following states was the last to get independence?". If it was "Which of following MODERN states was the last to get independence?" as I wanted Dobber would be right.

I apologise to Largefry07 and Dobber the question wasn't clear enough
