Padezh - case, according to my dictionary. And because I have actually no idea, I just pick D) č.

You are wrong. Four more answers are left.

Elvain

it is ć

I have seen this sign only in croatian names (and serbian if transscribed into latin alphabet)

Xuca

Yes, ć is only in Croatian, but it wasn't invented by Djura Danicic.

He just invented one letter, all the others were originally in the Croatian latin alphabet.

Darn it, I almost took đ because my intuition told me so... Always trust your intuition... đ like in rođen sam u zagrebu. And yea, I got the case wrong, it must have been želim ti lijepe snove, right? One of my best friends is Croatian, and I love to learn some Croatian from her

Well, I'm looking forward to the next question

Hah, I had some intuition for the same answer too!
Btw what does that "želim ti lijepe snove" mean? I could only guess "I want..." if it's close enough to Bulgarian...

Xuca

Litteraly, it means "I wish you nice dreams", but it more means "sleep tight". I don't know if there's an expression with dreams in English.

btw. if anyone wants some explenation:

After the Vienna agreement between Serbs and Croats, where Serbo-Croatian was born, Djura Danicic offered to make the Croatian alphabet more phonetic, like Serbian. So he invented Đđ, wich was previously written as dj. And it's Đura Daničić (notice that I don't do anything about č and ć, but put dj instead đ, it's very common).

And ћ, that's cyrilic for ć, carefully disguised as h with a stroke. It's the main reason why I put all small letters, since the capital Ћ doesn't look so h-ish.

Btw what does that "želim ti lijepe snove" mean?

it means "Přeji ti hezké sny" česky "žeľám ti pekné sny" po slovensky ...
with some small knowledge of Slovakian and Czech one can understand croatian :)

btw, I'm curious what did you mean, Traveller... was it something like "voulez vous coucher avec moi?" or rather "je veux coucher avec toi" ??? to use language of romantics

Ah, Ok. Btw I should've guessed if I thought more - lijepe should obviosly be close to "good, nice, beatiful", cuz I think the famous (at least here in the recent past) Serbian singer Lepa Brena meant Pretty Brena or something like that... And snove is not that far from sanishta...
And sorry, Elvain, but I don't speak French. I should ask my father of what you said, he has learned a little of it some time ago. Although I have the feeling I know what you meant and - no, I didn't mean that. Actually I udnerstood only "I want" and the rest was left as "...", not as "... You know..."

Elvain

don't ask your father  coucher means sleep, voulez vous do you want moi is I/me ehm, I think you can understand it now

OK, new question. From early history. =D

Which Mesopotamian Empire was the earliest?

a) Babylonia
b) Assyria
c) Sumer
d) Akkad

Sentra

c - Sumer

They have extremely interesting legends, by the way. The Gilgamesh epic, for example.

And Xuca was right... I used it in the sense of "I wish you nice dreams."

LittleFreak

Some of them are interesting, others are actually pretty scary.

Anyways, correct. Your turn. =D

DARN! You're right...
I began translating another book about that Maya calendar today... So that's why history repeats itself, this time

Your turn!
(But I bet you can't translate the other terms... hehe)
