Good question Dobber. :go: I'll say 3. My first answer would of been 2 but Hector took it. :bash:
Doesn't infamous mean beyond famous. Besides there was a lot of controversy over that picture. That was the second flag to be raised above the island that day, the first was smaller. They were replacing the first with a larger flag. The second went up as the first was coming down. The photographer nearly missed the shot, he just threw his camera to his eye and snapped and was not sure he even got the picture.
But you don't really care about all that do you, you just want to know who was right. The correct answer is "3".
Their names were Ira Hayes, Rene Gagnon, and John Bradley. Two walked off and the third was carried off wounded.
