Salutations.

Here, grab a seat by the hearth and drink heartily. Right now we are waiting for one of those passed out story-tellers to continue their tale.

Kuno's log - The day of the battle

Blood flew down my face, blurring my sight. Was it mine or the one of my ememies who were killed by my sword? Concerning the slight pain on my forehead it was probably both...
There I stood, in the middle of the battle, trying to hold the centre. On the right flank Richard was fighting eventhough I couldn't see him anymore but what I could see was the banner of hawk_knight rolling over the enemy flank far away at the right side. On the left the men of Sire Dobber did heir bloody work, taking away some of the pressure lying on my men. But where was their leader? I sent a messenger to him because I wanted to cordiate our actions in the centre but he could not be found. Probably we were winning on the right flank but if our centre would be overrun we could still loose the battle. The enemy had many reserve troops they would most probably be able to stop hawk_knight long enought to break throug in the middle. But it was evident that the battle would be won or lost on our left flank were Angryminer and Traveller were leading their troops fighting with the enemy's strongest forces.
But as long as there was no decisive attack we had to hold our position, fighting against an enemy who had twice as many men to throw into battle as we did. My sword became heavier and heavier so many men I had killed but for every fallen enemy two new one took up his place...
Slightly we were pushed backwards. I left my position walking from one side of my troops to the other shouting words of motivation. I tried to make them clear that if they would continue to move backwards all could be lost in a few minutes. It worked the men stood still repelling the pressure of the Byzantines and Fatimids.

I went back on my position. Again the blood was flowing down my face blurring my sight but this time I was quite sure that it wasn't mine...

Hawks log date : unknown

Where in the heat of battle killing many roman soldiers, While fighting i saw that the roman where putting many reseves against us wich slowed us down at breaking them on there right flank. A few commanders where at my side on the battlefield and i told them that it was weird they send there full reserve to there right flank.
Then it hit me THE CENTRE we havent gotten a mesage about them if the where getting overrun by the enemy.
I could not see from a horse, if the center was in distress so I realied on my instinct.
I told one of my commanders to get to our reserve troops in the forest. I had put some 16,000 heavy cav there as backup when he arived there he must lead them to the centre and break through there lines there and go at there right flank from behind. In the meantime I will hold them here
buying us more time to deploy our troops. But I will not wait for them to come to me so I will charge at them with everything I got and maybe i can break there lines first so i can come to the back of the center but time wil tell. I only hope that kuno can hold the center untill my troops arrive to help him.

But now we must put a sword to those bloody romans
