It was me dobber ;) which he mentioned to be at his side whe he died

Yes, I just looked back and found it, and he did arrive with the main army at noon.

July 10(Noon) - Dobber's Log

It is noon and the great allied army of 160,000 strong stands before the great city of Andrianople. The men watch as over 200,000 Romans/arabs attack the now under flames town. The other leaders are out giving orders to the men as they prepared to help the besieged men in Adrianople, while Dobber talks with the men entrusted to his leadership.
"We have all come to this place in time to fight against the tyranny of the Byzantine might and the tyranny of their Arab allies. We have come to this point from different walks of life. Some of you have sailed across the seas to get here, some have marched many leagues. I myself have had quite an adventure arriving at this point, the men I sailed from Mercia with are in that group of men trying to defend this city! I have many friends down there that trusted me at the start of this thing. They last saw me when I rode out to come look for you, they have trusted me to bring you to their aid. I did not think I would have the strength to lead you into this battle, but I awakened this morning with all the soreness and stiffness gone, my strength is returning and now I have friends to save. We will give our best effort today, we will not stop until we have driven these tyrants back, not until we have slaughtered them or they have slaughtered us. I trust in your ability, you are warriors, you are some of the best fighting men there have ever been. We are from many cultures, but we are brothers, we are fighting men, we know of one code, Honor, we fight with Honor and some of will die with Honor. We will know no fear. The Druids have taught me that death is freeing the spirit to begin anew in another body, in another time. Today we face the destiny that is ours. For our Brethren, we fight, for our Brethren we prevail, for Honor we lift our weapons! The men shouted, showing their support of their leaders.

We can see the Byzantine forces pouring into the city through the south gate. We also see a force that has appeared to be leaving the city through the north gate, we are to late to save the city, but we can save our men that have left the city. As we are preparing to move into position I notice the group of men outside the city at the north gate begin to baricade it from the outside. It dawns on me that they are trying to buy some time to set defenses, as the Byzantines within the city will have to go back to the south gate and around the east side to reach their prey. I order the men to move out, we are going to their aid.

We approach the city from the north, the calvary units are attacking the meager forces the Byzantines had in the north(a lot of their forces had begun moving to the south to enter the city once the south gate had been breached), clearing space for us to move in and get in position for the eventual surge of enemy forces that would be making their way around the city. I have paired the swordsmen with archers and have ordered them to move within range to cover the space between us and the walls of the city, the swordsmen have orders to guard the archers with shields as the archers fire into the enemy. This will protect our archers from return fire and they can fire rapidly into the enemy forces. I also have men positioned to protect our left flank and our rear should the enemy try to come around us! Our right flank will be to our own allies as they are positioning themselves for defense. If the enemy charges our position the archers can fall back as the swordsmen meet the charge. We will have the calvary back at that time to help repulse any advances, maybe they could even decoy some forces into chasing them into a hail of arrows. Other commanders are readying their men, what the ****, Richard and his Englishmen have charged the enemy positions, he was supposed to wait until the enemy was within archery range and let us barrage them with ballistics first. We are not close enough to cover his advances, we must remain in our postion as long as possible to cover the approach to Kuno, Angryminer, Traveller and hawk_knight, buying them time to organize their defense, at least I hope they are all still surviving. I brought Angryminer and Kuno to this land, heaven forbid they should die here. When it becomes necessary we will move to hand to hand combat. I pity any poor soul that I cross swords with then, the betrayal by a friend must be avenged.

Okay folks I rewrote the last part!

finally the story is moving again:wink:
Dobber I like your entry, specially the begining:cool::go:
So since Dobber already moved to the battle do you guys still want me to write something about the march? Me lazy:rofl:

I was thinking since we destroy this army of 200,000 + now then what is left in Constantinople? You guys should be able to just walk into it. lol

Does it sound somewhat familiar? I took a little artistic liberty and borrowed something from a friend and built around and upon it!

I really wanted to write more about the battle, but I had someone needing me elsewhere at the time. I feel a little uncomfortable with the battle part, not really knowing the lay of the land that well. That is one reason I positioned my men such as to offer covering fire and support for other advancing formations. Was also trying to build around the battle you had already described. And trying to tie it into what others are writing.

Dont worry about barrowing anything from my logs, :go: Also I can edit and adapt my last entry if it is neccesary to make it easier for your guys. Just let me know what to change

Oh, what a rain here! As if all the waters from heaven are falling down! Eric, I'll follow Angry's example and have some wine, red wine, this time! Do you happen to have Mavrud?

The last part of my last story entry has been rewritten, I didn't like what I had written while being rushed by my family.

I'm a bit unsure about the last sentences. You seemlessly switched from "if they would attack we could..." to "our allies charged...". So has the battle already started and where and against which parts of thr roman troops?
As far as I am aware all troops are now north of the city. The main army is north- east of the city faced southwards towards the open field and me, Hawk Knights, Traveller and Kuno just westwards of it, directly north of the city gate.
Is that about right? If it is, I will draw a quick image to make everything visible.

I don't see how you can misunderstand what I wrote! I said "If the enemy charges our position"(the "if they would attack we could..." that you mention). My forces are in position to cover that area between you and the enemy with ballistics, in their attempt to come after you they will come under a rain of arrows. I am only leading a portion of the main army.
Then I wrote "Richard and his Englishmen have charged the enemy positions, other commanders have their men attacking the flanks of the enemy."(the "our allies charged..." that you mention). Not my forces attacking, but other contingents of the main army. Richard has already led his troops into battle. And I am leaving room for some of the other commanders to take command of a portion of troops as well. I have the forces that used to be the knightly swords and I have command of a portion of forces from Xuca or hawk_knight, I cannot at the moment remember which, but they had maintained command over the bulk of their forces. As far as I know, I have never been given command of the entire 160,000 men, besides at one point I was dead. If I were not revived who would be leading any part of the main army.

If someone will tell me how much of this ************ army I am supposed to be leading at this point, maybe I can write more effectively!

Okay, you prompted me to go back and rewrite a section once again, the italicized red part is what was rewritten.

Hmm, me no liky:confused: Could you change it to be that i charged in order to give Angry and the others time to escape to the island and safety. The way you put it now makes me sort of a dumbass charging mindlessly:silly: LOL. After all I was suppost to save the battle as the men were begining to retreat, then I die.

Okay folks I will add the part about the ritual, although it is probably going to be very short and not very descriptive at this point. I have decided what I was going to write would be to explicit, the actual ritual itself is sex magic and to describe it would probably violate my terms and conditions, I must follow. I will attempt to perform the ritual without violating any rules.

Journal entry for July 10th midday

We have taken our positions in the grove, I have removed my garments so that my flesh may be in contact with nature and I can be more in tune with the Otherworld. The preparations are continuing as rawhide strips are being tied tightly around each ankle and each wrist, this is to keep the energy from leaving my body through my limbs. I lay on the ground and then am positioned so that my head is to the north and my feet to the south. My fellow Druids take their positions in a circle around the ceremony area and start their chants. The chief healer comes within the circle and removes her garments so that she to may be more in tune with nature. She begins to run her fingertips over my muscles and applies pressure to the pressure points that raise the enegy level within the body. This continues for what seems like an eternity, all the while the chanting becoming more intense, the energy within the grove building to the point it is electrifying the air within the grove, the trees begin to moan as the energy level intensifies. It is as if the grove is about to explode. Then suddenly the energy is released and it surges through the trees and springs through the air and into the bodies of all the allied forces reviving their spent muscles giving them that extra pep, that extra stamina that is evident in fresh troops.

We have done all that we can do to give the allies an edge in this battle, hopefully it will be enough. Now we must prepare to give assistance to those that become to wounded to continue battle.

*Okay guys, you have that extra pop to your step now, that extra power in your sword arm, that extra alertness on the battlefield, that extra bit of stamina to put you over the top, now go out there and slaughter some Byzantines and Arabs!*
