Happy late birthday to Hawk Knight.
*drinks*
*A cloaked man enters the tavern and walks with heavy steps to the counter and sits down. He looks around the room, notices many friends and bards (which are obiously drunk). He smiles and bring down his hood*
Hail forum friends. Missed me?
Haven't been able to be here for some time cause my modem....had a little accident with lightning....
I see you have positioned guard in the tavern and what is that I have been hearing? One must tell a story to get something to drink.....okay then, why not.
Doctors log.
By all the odds that he had against him it's a miracle in happening. The king have shown sligtly improvment over the last weeks but it's even a miracle that he's still live.
I must say that he got incredible willpower to live on.
By looking at my notes i think Navatar is going to be able to stand up in only two weeks from now. If the improvment contiues ofcourse.
The queen have been at his side almost every day now and are holding his hand hard yet soft like it was as britle as a rose.
Wait, the king is starting to talk now so i must end this report.
Now give me the usual and because i feel generous today I pay for the next round.

I said I'd write something more about "KoH mp by forum"...
The idea is the following:
We get together as 6 players. We want to enhance our tavern-at-the-inn story-telling with a real ruleset. We use the KoH-rules for this.
Due to the amount of 6 player the british isle of 1000 a.d. fits us best. Wessex, East Anglia, York, Wales, Lothian and Highlands make... 6! So everyone of us chooses a nation for him to rule.
When everyone has chosen his kingdom the gamemaster, optionally a player by himself, creates a game of KoH. He takes screenshots and introduces everyone to the provinces KoH generated for him.
The first situation might look like this:
"The cronicles of the Inn. 1000 a.d.
The map (http://img251.imageshack.us/my.php?image=kohmp00020av.jpg) of the british isle shows that it is devided into 6 nations. Wessex and York are bound in a trade-agreement and East Anglia and Lothian meet in war.
Angryminer:
You are the Earl Godwin of Wessex. You are middle-aged, married to the local noblewoman Joana, father of your sons Edward, Harold and your daughter Helen.
You rule over the provinces of Kent and Cornwall.
Kent produces 2 piety, 2 gold, no books, 6 food and has 5 workers available. The built structures are a townguard, a stable, a granary and a palisade. Also Kent has enough fish on it's coasts to support fishing.
Cornwall produces 4 piety, 3 gold, no books, 5 food and has 2 workers available. In the province there are a townguard, a granary, a tax collector's office and a bakery. The province also features rich fishing grounds and has salt-deposits.
Your royal court consists only of Earl William, a marshal with no army under his command.
Your treasury consists of 999 gold coins, with an income of -1 gold coins per turn. Your kingdom power is 0, you posess no books.
[ Imagin here 5 other reports for the other players. ]"
So after careful consideration I post my first decisions.
"The Earl of Wessex decides to exile his one and only marshal, turning my income from -1 to +9. Instead my crownprince Edward shall from now on serve me as a marshall. He will begin his duty in the province of Kent. I myself will become a merchant and trade for gold with the Earldom of York.
I order the construction of an inn in each Kent and Cornwall for 300 gold each. The inn in Kent will finish after 20 turns, because Kent has 5 workers and the inn requires 100 work-units (100 / 5 = 20). After the inn in Kent is finished Kent will have 6 workers available (+1 from inn). With the money I have left (estimated 400 + 9 * 20 (+ unknown amount of money from trade) = 580) I order the construction of a fishmonger, which should take 34 turns (200 work-units required / 6 workers = 34).
In turn 50, when the inn in Cornwall is finished, I await a new report about the trade-income."
The other players submit their decisions in a similar manner. The amount of turns the players take decisions for is not fixed. They decide as far as they can estimate their treasury etc. Then the gamemaster performs these actions in his KoH game (using cheats) and comes back with new reports to the players.
In my case, Wessex, this might look as following:
"....
Angryminer:
It is turn 50 and the inn in Cornwall is finished. Since turn one you earn 5 goldcoins per turn from the trade with York. Also the province Kent produces 3 gold per turn since turn 20, because of the constructed inn in Kent it has reached town-level 3. Your complete treasury is now:
400 gold in treasury from turn 1
+ 50 * 3 gold income in Cornwall
+ 20 * 2 gold in Kent
+ 30 * 3 gold in Kent
+ 50 * 5 gold from Trade
- 300 for fishmonger in turn 20
= 630 gold.
In turn 50 the fishmonger in Kent is finished by 90 percent."
...And on and on...
In a similar manner we send marshalls over the map, send letters to other rulers, tease each other, sign agreements (here we aren't bound to KoH's set of agreements!), ask each other for help, send spies or declare war.
Battles are fought in KoH's multiplayer. At best we use the tower-mode so we can have the right armies on the field of glory.
Oh, and expect some more screenshots. I just forgot to take nice ones that fit into the reports. We might also share the savegame, so every player can look everything up by himself.
Oh, I nearly forgot: There shall be no interaction with any kingdoms outside of the chosen map so only players interact with each other.
Opinions? Suggestions? Beer?

It's too complicated... And what about those people who don't play KoH?
And about the beer, yes, thank you very much.

I think maybe that would be something for it's own thread separate from the Tavern. As Xuca said not everybody plays KoH. Maybe even in the Colliseum where the other games are played, after all it would be a game and not a bard's tale. But then again you could say that it was friendly game being played at the Tavern such as darts and chess and cards are sometimes played by visitors to a Tavern. But still I think it should have its own thread.
