I'm sorry to not have taken part in the story anymore, but last week I was away in the Alsace and befor I simply didn't have the time to come over here because I had to write my maturity paper("report" containing at least 4000 words about a certain topic) for school.:sad:

I'll try to write my part tomorrow...

but at least have a round of fine bear from the Alsace on my costs. (Belive me it tastes really good :wink:) :cheers:

I could never imagine when the priest in church spoke about the end of time, now I can - Armagedon must be similar to this battle. We have left the city without having lost many men, I just feel sorry for the inhabitants. But I hope no enemy will plunder the city as long as the battle is going on.

So there I stood, commanding the first time in my life troops of this size in battle and actually it was just a small part of the army. But every decision one of the commanders made could lead to defeat or victory for all of us.
At the left flank Angryminer and Traveller are moving forwards towards the city to fight the heavy Byzantine troops. In the middle Dobber was protecting them to make sure that the enemies couldn't break through. Then suddenly on the right Richard attacked the enemies, but he didn't inform us before so confusion spread around.

Dobber couldn't help him, he was too far away. Only I and hawk_knight could do something. But hawk was still somewhere behind our lines and if I would attack with all troops we would open spaces in our battle-line the enemy could use to break through. On the other hand I simply couldn't leave Richard alone to ride in his death.
In this moment of doubt a messenger from hawk_knight arrived that he will soon be here with his amy to reinforce our troops. So I quickly made up my decision: I splitted my troops in two parts, 1/3 of them stayed behind as a reserve to make sure no enemy will break through our lines. With the others i would support Richard. All depended on a fast arrive of hawk_knight otherwise the enemy might be to strong for us.

So I gave the sign to attack, but we attacked left of Richard to split the enemy forces there in two parts. Soon the air was full with the screams of wounded and the sound of weapons. More and more reserve troops had to fill up open spaces and slightly we were pushed backwards. An attack of hawks troops on the right flank or just their reinforcement would still be deadly for the enemy, but they didn't arrive yet. And if they wouldn't soon, we have to move back to a better position, but this could easily lead to a flight of our men.
I just hope that the others had more success...

hey kuno,

i have just one thing to your log :wink: if you read mine which i had put on last week. I did not had a meeting with you i think I did sended a message to all commanders about the situation.
And that i will attack the enemy with my full army from the flank as i saw it was a huge army that was coming down the hillside :biggrin:
so i think you might wanna change that that i come from the hill side but that i jsut came in a nickof time the safe you guys. and that you arrived to richards aid earliery then me :wink:

after I got back to my main army they where happy to see there king again and yelled hawk, hawk, hawk.
I yelled men of mithril the day has come after many days of marching that we finaly meet the enemy on the battlefield we have fougth the normans,novogodrians and many others.
We will meet this one on the field too and show them the steeeeeeel of mithril.
Now fight this day with HONOR AND GLORY "soldiers cheering".
Now take you positions as the men took the positions quikly. I turned my back and saw richard charging to a hil side I thought first what is he doing but when i looked closer.
I saw a large dipatchment of heavy troops which must be as numberd as my army like 50thousand men. I quickly ralleyd my men and yelled men look to the moutainside the enemy has decided to come to us. We will not dissapoint them he .
Now lets aid richard in battle CHargeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for death and glory.


before the charge i orderd a messenger to go to dobber and tell about the situation that the enemy tried to flank us with a mass army of heavy cav.


i wrote the first part wil write the battle part against that army later :go: :cheers:
