Well i was waitin for traveler to start the meeting, after all he is the closes to the Tzar and he was the one with the idea of the meeting in the first place?
And you'd have to wait: It's 00:20 here. I'm sleeping!
Btw what meeting? A simultaneous "meeting" here or just one bard would tell us how it all went?

Kuno's Log - July 2
in the morning hours
What shall I write? Nothing happens over here...But at least I recover quite well. After the fever has left, i started to feel better and better every day. Sons of the emperor be prepeard, Kuno's back! And if I will meet Sakim ever again, he should be prepeard too.
at the evening
now ther's a lot to tell, what a day! At noon some messengers arrived, they told us that Sire Dobber has been heavily injured when he was fighting against Sakim. I wonderd hwo this fight took place, but they couldn't tell me. but they told us that Sakim's head is now sticked on a lance.
At the afternoon I met the commander of Adrianople on my way to the walls of the city. He joined up and meanwhile we were looking at the hills and field around we had a discussion about our plans.
"What I heard, you and all the other mercenaries are here to conquer Constantinople. Can you even imagine what risk this means? You won't be enoug men to success."
"i don't know much about Constantinople, you know. I'm here to do all I can to thank Sire Dobber and his men that they saved me from the pirats. Maybe I will die, but if they hadn't saved me I wouldn't have lived mauch longer anymore, about this I'm sure. And there are several tenthousand men behind us, they will be here in short time."
"Ok, you may have more men than the emperor, but he's still a lot. HE would even have enough to defend the walls without the help of the Arabs. And the walls! Have you ever seen them? They are the biggest and strongest of the world. The double-ring is nearly unbreakable. huns, Persians, Arabs, Vikings, Bulgarians...they all tried to conquer the city, they all failed!"
"I know. I saw the walls once, when I was on crusade. Ironically it was in Constantinople where I and my men hired the ship who was entered by the pirates..."
"So you see what I'm talking about, with pure strength of your army you won't be able to catch the city."
"I know, but there are other ways to weak the defence of a city..."
No I'm going to bed, tomorrow I've planned to ride to our allies and to look what happened to Sire Dobber.
*ok, after long time again something from me....;)
You can have a beer and a bowl of peanuts too Kuno.

I'm tempted but I can't dictate the meeting :(
Dobber's Log - July 2
'Sitters entry' As I sat and watched for changes in Sire Dobber's condition, I was shocked by a sudden scream from my side, Sire Dobber was writhing uncontrollably and screaming as if he was being tortured!
Suddenly he cried out "To hell with you, Sakim! Get out of my face, I killed you, I beheaded you! Why are you still here? Somebody help me, I can't touch him, he just keeps coming, but my blade goes right through him as though he's not there! Help me, oh God help me! Somebody please, get him away from me!"
And then he fell still and there was only labored breathing, I need to get the medicine men back in here!
Dobber are you refering to me as the "medicine man" or the doctor ?
And I can't write anything, I don't know what traveler is planing to do with the meeting in the story, so I can't write anything without knowing what he is thinking on doing. :silly:
Oh and I like peanuts too!
And what the hell is a .blåbärspaj!!!!!???
@ Richard, anybody the sitter can round up to have a look in. Nothing really to do. I was just trying to get Sire Dobber started on his nightmares about Sakim!
And blåbärspaj is blueberry pie!

Bah, only sick people write here! But, Ok, Kuno's log made me think of something more about the meeting and if you want me to lead it - fine!
Yes, only the sick are writing! Maybe if someone would take us into battle we wouldn't have time to be sick! We wouldn't have to come up with creative ways to make it interesting!

Traveller's Log - The month of Chrven (July), day 2nd, late evening
The high meeting
Finally all the high commanders of the Allied armies gathered for the meeting tonight. We had so many things to discuss and so little time, especially since we all first had to be introduced to each other. And here came the first surprise of the evening - Xuca brought in front of us a man, who he said was the son of some Frankish knight. I'm still not very sure who exactly this knight or his son are and what they did, but I saw it was quite a surprise for most of the western leaders. Some were stunned, others - curious and third seemed as if they've seen a ghost. After a short talk on their own language, they, and more exactly - the King Hawk Knight, finally said that this really is the son of this Frankish knight and that they accept him as an equal. But who, the hell, exactly is he, they didn't vouchsafe to answer... Anyway, I'll find this out myself later when I speak again with Xuca. Now, the next thing: Sire Dobber's condition. Sir Richard reported that he has been taking additional care to him, but his condition is still not very good. And although he's better than yesterday, he is still talking in his fever. After lond debates, we decided that as long as his condition allows it, he'll move together with the army, carried in a special cart along with the slower supply transports. This way the travelling won't be that painful and the doctors with him would be able to react in every possible time. This would also increase the fighting spirit of the army, as I've said before. Tsar Samuil also promised that the best healers in the country would be called to take care of the sick man. But if his condition worsens, he'll have to stay behind and be transported with guards to a safe location, where he would be treated. This being said we continued to the battle plans. The army would leave not earlier than tomorrow noon. We won't wait for the food provisions from the areas behind us, as they'll probably make up to us anyway. Such a large army can't move fast (although I'm really surprised of how they came so quickly from the distant northern lands to here) and ahead is some not-very-quick mountainous terrain, which would slow us down. According to the map (http://www.history.uiuc.edu/fac_dir/todorova/images/Relief%20Map%20of%20the%20Balkan%20peninsula_s.jpg ) (from page 29) we would have to pass then to the north of the Rhodope Mountains (in the Upper-Thracian valley to the south of the Balkans) and along the Maritza river to the city of Philipopolis (or Plovdiv, as we call it) and then down to Adrianople and later - Tsarigrad. Last year's crops were bountiful, so we'll be able to gather additional supplies on the way. Furthermore, food stocks would be additionally sent over the course of time also from the all the ends of the tsardom and King Xuca promised to call provisions from Serbia. King Hawk Knight said that he'll send messengers also to Mithdrill, but I hope we'll be already over with this war when they arrive. And now to the last thing! Tsar Samuil warned all the gathered leaders of the risk they and their men are taking and asked if someone wishes to go back home. Nobody answered. I doubt they weren't at least a little afraid, because if they really aren't, then it would mean they either not know anything about Constantinople and its defenses or they're just mad. Both cases could be fatal for us. The tsar then warned them again of the Great City's double walls, that many have tried, but noone has succeeded in conquering it till now. He also mentioned that there are still Romean forces in the city and Arab reinforcements have also been seen (but their number isn't clear). And that in an event of a siege, the whole male population could be mustered for defense (and the population of Constantinople is around a million people, from which, of course, just a few could fight, be it because of age, sex or sickness or just because there aren't enough arms). And despite all these warnings, nobody wanted to go back! I believe the tsar was glad to see this and that he hoped their men would be like their leaders. But the meeting was going late, the discussion were long and tiring, so we decided that tomorrow there shall be another meeting soon after morning, where we would count our approximate numbers and discuss other questions. After that we all went to our own tents. Tommorow we'll see the final plans... *yawn* My eyelids are heavy as iron... I need some... sleep..
=================
Phew, this is it! I'm quite sleepy as well, so...
I got sleepy just by reading it. (joking )
It seems good, I knew we could trust you. :go:

NaVatar's Journal
No new news from Travis and Barret. No rush really as I have else too do.
Ever since the news that I had "retaken" the crown and my sons had been born I have gotten lots of letters from Wales saying that that despreatly needs a trading ally as they are at war with Scotland for some reason. They are kinda short on gold and they have heard of the gold we had gotten after mine comrades had defeaten the normans.
I will reconsider their offer. Maybe I will wait and see if Scotland want too make some agremeent also. I must admitt, it has been kinda boring some time now. Maybe this will spice things up a bit.
