The knightly sword enters the tavern. With light steps he walks around, he stops and looks around. At the fire place he see`s some familiar faces, navatar the happy cowman and frankish are Throwing stuff into the fire. Suddenly he see`s dobber sitting not far away from the fire. knightly approachs dobber and gives a warm "Hello".

Dobber sees a familiar face enter the Tavern, just as he is preparing to mention him in his reminiscing about the Old Guard! the knightly sword has come to visit! Dobber remains seated and waits on knightly to come over. As he approaches, Dobber stands and gives him the warrior's embrace.

It is so good to see you again my old friend, have a seat and join us, hawk_knight and I have been reminiscing about the Old Guard, I had been telling NaVatar and Xuca about some of those that are no longer with us, then broke from the departed, to honor the handfull still in our midst. FrankishHero has joined the group of listeners, as well. You were to be first on my list when I returned to talking of the ones who had left us. But you have returned, maybe you would like to share with us some memories from the days of the Old Guard!

Dobber once again, sits back down and starts to think of those gone on.

i wasnt online for some time because i have my exams coming so i have to put some of my spare time for studying but i still come to the forum once and and a while as a guest or i will just log in ;)

Navatar's Journal

Why does things go bad at every step I take? Why can't just the gods let me sit down and let me relax with a book or something? Nah, let's get Navatar in every trouble we can find for him! Yes, real funny.

As I wrote before, I (have just a few hundred troops) and Edward, King of Scotland (have many thousands of warriors) were marching towards Wales to put the end of the war.
When we was close to the castle we got reports saying that there were a another army besiegeing the Wellish castle. First I breathed out because we would'nt have to fight so much against the welsh as the other army would take care of it for us. But look who's the fool now.
If I thought there wasn't gonna be a big battle I was dead wrong.
When we reached the castle we saw that the unknown army was of Irish origin!
Neither Edward nor me have had any connections with the Irish and didn't knew their troubles with the Welsh. Anyhow.
It was quite dark and we knew that the Irish would be very distressed by a huge army marching towards them so we decided that I, Edward and three highlanders skilled with horsemanship would ride on the main road with a white flag and litten torches towards an Irish encampment we had seen before. At first it went good. The Irish troops at the camp noticed us rather fast and were preparing for our arrival.
Then all the sudden when we where in shooting range, the bastards start to bombard us with arrows! The first one hits a rider in the throat and he died instantly. Our horses start to freak out and we cannot ride away immediatly. Another volley comes and hits another rider and Edward.
The rider gets it in the shoulder and Edward got it in the leg and fell down from his horse. I hear running horses from the camp.
At that moment I thought we were doomed. But I pulled myself together, calmed my horse and throw down the torch so the archers wouldn't see us as good. I jumped down from the horse, picked up Edward and laid him on the uninjured highlander and told him to ride back to the army and prepare for battle. He understood and rode as quickly as he could back.
I then chase all the horses away and start to drag the wounded highlander towards the bushes.
It was the last second I made it to the bushes before the Irish soldiers come to the spot. They searched the ground before they picked up the trace towards our camp and rode towards it.
Two of the riders rode back to camp to give a report to their commander. I hope our army is prepared already as this seems it's not gonna be peaceful.
*Sigh*

a stranger enters Erics Inn, she asks the barkeeper for a drink and he complies although it is not a knight that he serves, the stranger approaches the men at the fire and asks "may I join you although I am only a TM, Anno 1602 and 1503 player?" and waits for an answer from the gentlemen knights present

Certainly, My Lady, I as well am only a TM, Anno 1602/1503 player. I have played the tutorial of KoH Demo, but have gone no further than that with KoH. I have been around here for ages though rubbing shoulders with all the knights. I am actually a mercenary knight, belonging to no kingdom. I fight for the Lord with the biggest purse.

Frankish wakes up from a short nap and welcomes the two ladies in their midst, offering them a drink. He then notices NaVatar rekindle the fire and the story with it...

Thank you Frankisch Hero for the welcome, an irish coffee for me please, by the way I happen to have a beech staff in my belongings that could be cut to the shape of a replacement leg, should NaVatar be interested (after his was used for firewood).
