Glory and honor for the emperor!

Past months we have sufferd great losses. Ever since the foul allies of bulgaria enter'd our battles we have lost alot of our battles.The emperor in all his grace is troubled, He think's these fareners will conquer our lands, mercians he called called . In an epic battle these brave mercians slaughter'd thousands of normens and forced them into retreat.

(before justus writes his journal ,In the imperial chamber a conversion between the emperor and justus is about to take place. As he the emperor walks around nervously a curious man in plate armor steps in. the man bears a golden helmet that indicates his high rank and medallion with the imperial insignia)

Justus Nerva- Mi lord you wanted to speak with me concerning our enemies?.

Emperor- Yes young commander,let my tongue speak directly of the matter.Ever since these mericans came from there faren lands to aid bulgaria our losses have dramaticly increased. Several battles have already been lost commander, it cannot go on like this.

Justus Nerva- Who are these mercians? what buisness do they hold with bulgaria?.

Emperor-It is uncertain how there alliance was forged. We have reports that conncetions where established after a bulgarian knight by the name of nike aided mercia in there war against normen and in turn mercia lended there aid by sending most of there knights to the call of the bulgarian king. Normen armies fell at one last fierce battle where the mercians forced them to retreat. This alliance is growing stronger, for each passing day they receive reinforments from the west. i
m afraid we are to face these great foes even at our own capital. We may lose this war and even our empire.

Justus Nerva-Aslong as the last byzantine soldier and citzen fight ,they shall never conquer our lands. Our ancestors where the mighty romans , they who held the world in there sway.

Emperor- Our ancestors are gone long now. The glory of this empire is behind us. Disillusions have already been spread among our ranks. Some of our finest legionares have deserted us by this disillusion. A band of soldiers lead under the senior captain Conquestare legionare left to settle as mercenries for hire.
And even more soldiers left to join him. I want you to crush this betrayal with an iron fist. Spread the word among these traitors that any betrayer shall be immediatly killed. Hang there heads on pikes to show the other soldiers what fate awaits them if they desert me.

Justus nerva- As you wish my emperor, I shall spread veangence upon thee traitors.

(Justus walks out of the chamber. He enters his tent, he slams open a book and dips the feather pen in inc and starts writing in his journal.)

Now I had time to read your post, Sowhf (I hope you don't mind the abbrevation, the second abbrevation that came to my mind was "Stupid", and you propably prefer the former :wink: ). Very nice beginning for the story and a well written chapter. I will wait with my battle for adrianople until your story reaches that point.

It'd be sad if I had to end poor Angryminer's fate in Adrianople, so bring it on. :go:

THe march towards Adrianople was going god the psse of the march was good and fast. While we where marching some scout returend from Adrianople which i had send to scout the area there they ha a stunning report that there was a large army of the byzantien sieging the town and are likely to assault it in a few days. As the other commanders heard the report we where looking at each other as we didnedt know what to do. Then i said give me 60thousand heavy horsemen and I will ride fast and steady towars Adrianople to aid them in battle.
If i ride now we can be there on the midday of 10th july. THe other commanders agreed to that. I called my trusted commanders to call the heavy horsemen. In a few min i war riding towards Adrianople with great speed to help them in battle and to lift the siege of Adrianople. Now i must ride like the wind towards Adrianople we may encounter traveller then he can join the hevy horsmen army to aid Adrianople.

There is always the possibility that there are several people living in the same house, sharing a computer. Brothers, sisters, roommates, dorm brothers, parents, children, ......
I have 2 sons that are members here, I used one of their accounts when I was writing dual parts in the story. When I grew weary of writing, it resulted in the killing off of 2 characters.
All 3 of us can be on the board at the same time as well, if we choose to be, there are 3 computers(used to be 4, until I had to borrow parts from one of them) in my home office networked through a router connected to a cable modem.
We would be surprised at the number of multiple personalities here if we had access to that info as does the moderators.

Journal entry for July 5th

My band of Celtic brothers and I have travelled far and fast in search of the great army that "The Source of All Being" revealed to me as I worshiped in the sacred forest glen. "The Source" has sent us to help this great army with our Druid magic. It will be good to get my feet back on the ground so I can feel the closeness of The Source once again. I am more attuned when my feet can feel the rhythms of nature.

Suddenly ahead, a great force is camped, it appears as in my vision. There seems to be much activity in the camp. There is an especially large gathering around one of the tents. Maybe that is where I can find the Commanders of this force. As we make our way toward the camp a small band of horsemen ride out to meet us.

I asked to be taken to their Commanders, explaining that we come in peace. Surely our half dozen armed guards do not concern this force, for most of my brethren and sisters that are travelling with me are Druids and carry no (physical)weapons.
