guinness and pepsi dont mix = not kilkenny and vodka and some OJ go well. Darts well im ok but a billards or pool table great stuff.
Okay, Falke, now we've got our dart board and I'm fine with my pint of Guinness, so I guess we can start off. Hope you're okay with the old custom that the elder one got the first turn? So here I go:
I double in on the 20, then bull's eye, then triple 19, which leaves me with 354. Your turn!
Sure Günter.
Just for information. I learned that the players make a throw on the Bullseye. That player who is closer to the middle begins,
Ok but now my three darts.
I open with a double 19, 19 and triple 19.
My count is at 387
Wow an shanghai on the 19.
Your turn.
I learned that the players make a throw on the Bullseye. That player who is closer to the middle begins,
Oops, of course you're right, sorry 'bout that, didn't play for a while. :embarras:
Actually, I also never heard the expression "shanghai", is it Irish, Scotch or darn Brit? And what's the exact definition?
But I see you aren't a bloody beginner, neither, good throw! :go: Okay, let's see what I can do for you:
Triple 20
....woosh, that one hits the wall ... - wife, how often shall I tell you not to hug me when I'm playing darts...
... and a double 18
Leaves me with 258
Your turn!
And an Irish Cream for my wife, please, Eric!
Oh, Günter, it's a name of a play in the e-dart.
There you have to hit the single-, the double- and the triplesegment of each number on the board. You begin with the 1
Not really Günter. I play darts, ok electronic darts, since 1997 and the original steeldarts only sometimes, when i visit a good friend in Braunschweig. May you know her, it's Odie from the 1503 board.
But enough of talking. Now my throw.
Triple 16,
zong! The second hit the metalframe of the triple 20 and fly to the ground.
****.
Triple 10
New score 309
You turn.
Oh, I played only occasionally on these new electronic thingies and to be honest I rather dislike them, still prefer the good ol' original one (http://www.uniquevents.com/categories/english_pub/images/dart_board_jpg.jpg) where I can use my old Tungsten darts. That's why I already paid a pint to Eric for giving us one of them ...
And of course, I remember well Odie from the old board, even if I never had the honor to meet her personally. Hope she and her kids are fine?
Well, enough of this chit-chat, let's go on:
Triple 20 again ... (hey, your Guinness is really a good stuff, Eric, makes my darts fly straight where I want them ... :bowl: )
single 20
double one ... - ****, I tried a shanghai on 20 ...
Okay, leaves me with 176 ... your turn!

hey prince eric were is the poker table i wanna play some poker ;)
Well, i play both games.
The only difference are 7 cm in the distance from the board, if i exclude the points. (Steel and softtip)
As i last meet her, the kids where very fine.
Triple 19. triple 19. triple 19
YEAH!!!
ONEHUNDRETANDSEVENTYONE
New score 138
A possible checkout.
Oh, I see you want it the quick way... :beek: - okay, here we go:
triple 20
triple 20
bull's eye
So I'm off for a double 3, now. Let's see your checkout as soon as I've got another pint... :halloha:
No worries, i was only lucky. Three darts in the same triple-segment aren't frequent.
Oh, i see you've dwarftops. (A insider of regular leagueplayers)
triple 7 ****, want a triple 16 :bawling:
triple 19
12
Rest of 48
Okay, your luck has gone, guess that's my match:
.... 3 .... (ooh, darn... shouldn't have emptied that second pint so quickly when waiting for you, am no more used to the black stuff so early in the morning... )
Well, it's not a championship so I hope you accept the "between the legs" rule?
Sure Günter. This is just for fun.
But you've two other darts, and are able to checkout.
Okay then, here we are:
double 1
"between the legs" :D and checkout. Want a revenge? :halloha:
Actually, I learned the game already up in the seventies when I went several times to Ireland and afterwards often frequented Frankfurt's at that time first and only Irish Pub (unfortunately closed since last year  ). They had only one dart board, and sometimes we were so many players queuing up for a match that we used to play in double teams. That's how I met my wife then: I played the double-ins, double-outs and she made the points...
Well, times were a-changing, and she didn't like me anymore to drink 5 - 6 pints every evening, and our Irish friends went elsewhere (one of them was even murdered some time ago :yuck:), and so I didn't really play anymore since years now, but only occasionally when one of our nephews and nieces from France were visiting us and wanted to see where we had met .... And to be honest, I never was a good player, just an average one, and triple 20s were rather great luck with me.... ... But there's another story quite funny: during several years one the owners of the pub was called Eric, an Irish from Cork afair, and people often mixed me up with him because he looked like my twin brother. Yet, I never had free pints because my Irish accent wasn't as fine as his one, even if I tried hard all the time .... :naughty:

@Eric - I need a glass of white zin.
This dart game is fun to watch. I haven't seen it played in a bar before.
Btw, Falke, I forgot to ask: what's the meaning of that insider with the "dwarftops" ? I never was a leagueplayer myself, sorry for my ignorance...
