We could think he's Frankish Knight, and get scared, surprised, or something, he said he's his spitting image.

What are you all writing about??? I can't figure out what this is

Xucan read my previews post, I edited it to make my self clearer, since what I wrote the first time didn't made much sence. sry for that wrote it too fast.  :silly:

Shane we are talking about the story. We have a story about many heroes that are fighting the Bysantines and arabs. Maybe you should go to Hawk knight's thread so you can see all the bards.

Dobber

But how are we suppost to know he is the son of Frankish Knight, if only Dobber and Navatar lnew Frankish Knight, meaning only they can recognise him.

I edited to make my statement clearer.

I was just making a suggestion of a possible solution to what would become of the troops under Dobber's command. As Dobber is incapacitated at the time, he can be of no help in the decision making process. And since no one knows Frankish, you may not want him to take the command. He certainly would have to prove himself worthy first. It may be you would have the 10,000 cavalry return to Hawk_Knight, and the 25,000 go to the command of Richard or Xuca. Frankish could be told of Navatar's need for him to return to Mercia in the event Navatar does not recover, and the throne possibly be turned back over to the Frankish lineage.

And I think Xuca met Frankish Knight in the Mercian Campaign, if he does look like his dad then Xuca might be able to identify him.

*Frankish's Log*

I worry. I worry a lot. None of the men here seems to know who my father was! Is Dobber so reliant on strangers? I fear for the kingdom...I have been told of a camp near Adrianople, most of the Mercians are there! Maybe I should check out the camp there...but if I could see Dobber first...I'll request a meeting, to the camp doctor.

Adventures of Xuca

2nd july

There's a man in the camp, a suspicious man. He looks very familiar, however he's not wearing any uniform, so he's probably not one of our soldiers. I can't remember where I saw him, I'll ask one of my men to bring him to me.

Navatar's Journal

It's great too breath fresh air again. Finally, after weeks in bed i can now stand up without help. My doctor told me that it's a miracle that i'm still alive but here i am. Although i will not start to swing a sword or ride somewhere for some time i'm starting to feel better. The pain in my side has almost vanished and i can breath okay.

I'm troubled. These last weeks while I laid in bed I've thought alot about many things. How the war on the Bysantine is going? Are Dobber, TKS, Angryminer and all the others alright? Will the Normans attack againg? How are my sons holding up?.
God, I regret I took up this title as King! From the start it have given me trouble like nothing else.....Why could'nt ************** give it to someone else, like to his brother or his......son! Wait, i just remembered that Frankish told me about his son he had sent to Denmark or something.
What was it Frankish said...that he didn't want to endanger him or something......he must be 18 by now....Interesting, maybe i should send some spy's to gather some info in Denmark and near Bysantinum.

*Navatar shouts out the name's "Travis! Barret!" and in a flash two cloaked men walks out of the shadows from the room.
"Yes King?"
"I need you two to gather some info about a man. His name is FrankishHero and is the son of the late **************"
"Did ************** have a son!" said Travis
"Yes, and now you must find him. Barret, you shall go to Denmark and look for him there and you Travis will go down to Bysantium.."
"Bysantium! But there's a war going on there, sire!"
NaVatar stares cold at Travis and the spy becomes silent
"Yes, Bysantium. I think that in that vicinity theres is a huge army that's prepares for a siege on the capital and that the commander is problay Dobber. Find him and tell him about this."
NaVatar see the troubled faces on the spy's and he tosses one (quite big) money bag to each and smiles "It's yours. And if you want some good horses, go and talk to the horse master in the Royal stable and he will give you a fast horse."
The spy's still stands still
"Go!", shouts Navatar and points to the door
The spy's goes to door while arguing with each other
"Hahaha, you got the hardest mission!", said Barret mockingly to Travis, which walked very sad as a man who must endure a very looong jouney alone.
At the afternoon Barret had gotten on a ship to go to Denmark and Travis had started to ride the long way to Bysantium and Navatar was muttering about the negative sides of being a king these days.

Traveller's Log - The month of Chrven (July), day 2nd
The road ahead...

Sire Dobber's condition is still hanging. The medicine men said that if he lives tomorrow he'll probably make it, but will need some time to recover. This brings another question - what should we do? Take him to Ohrid where he will be treated with great care? Or take him with us on a cart? The latter would definitely increase the men's morale - knowing that their leader, although seriously wounded, still goes with them and wants to fight would make the soldiers fight like lions. But his condition might get worse on the road and we'll also need all the doctors after the battle. Tough question! Sometimes I'm really happy I'm not the tsar! Speaking of the tsar, our question about the command is now even bigger. Somebody will have to take Dobber's place, which could lead to some unwanted quarrels. Furthermore, we still have to make some sort of a plan for all the generals. And the question of what to do with Sire Dobber should be decided by all. That's why we shall all gather to the postponed high meeting in the Royal tent tonight to discuss all the problems we face.
Btw I finally got to speak with Xuca... uhm... King Xuca, that is. I haven't seen him for... well, it was like for an eternity. I still couldn't believe he's alive! Anyway, we had a heartly and most friendly chat (mixed with some good Southern wine, of course), which warmed my heart after all this trouble. He also mentioned about his suspicions of some Greek mercenary and his band, wanting to be hired. Ha, I understand him - who would trust a Roman?! Still, I suggested that he shouldn't be rejected with an easy hand. He might have some valuable information and, if he's under good watch, he might also prove to be worthy. Hah, we'll see...
Now we should prepare for the meeting. Oh, I can't wait to see the other generals and friends of my late master! Hmm... Master... Hah, who would have thought that I would be a master myself now?! And in such times... I remember one old Jewish man from my childhood. Whenever he wanted to curse someone, he used to say: "May you live in interesting times!"... I wonder haven't I been cursed, too...

Knight Richard's adventure
Chap. 24: Not knowing your enemies can be deadly, not knowing your allais can be worse .

july 2nd, 1005. Later in the day
Finally the men returned with all the herbs I had asked for, I went into the tent where Sir Dobber was. After much arguing the doctor agreed to let me put the herbs, his words were, "Fine, what do we got to lose, he will be lucky if he is alive tomorrow, besides he is a stupid old man." I was so mad that he had said this that exploded in anger and I hitted him in his nose and broke it. Then I said, "Don't you ever talk like that about him or any of your superiors, you are lucky I won't punish your insolence." Then he went out mad and I prossided to prepare the medicine. Then I placed them on the wounds and graped a piece of clother aroudn them to hold the herbs in place, I retired and while on the way to my tent Sir Hawk told me that all the commanders where to have a meeting this evening so we all get to know each other and discuse the plans. Finally I'am going to meet Traveler.
