I got time now so might as well write something.

Navatars Journal

I woke up in the strangest of places with one of the biggest headaches I ever had. It was a cold and damp tent with only a bed and a lit torch on the ground. I heard moans from beyond the tent. When I tried to stand up my head hurt so much I thought I was going to die. I lay down again and then I heard a voice from a man.
"I see you have awaken, my friend." , said the man and walked towards the bed. Then I saw it was Edward, King of Scotland. I was very confused at first and didn't have one clue of why he was there and why I was laying in this bed.
When Edward noticed that I had lost my memory of the last past days, he told me about the siege on my city. The more he told me, the more I remembered.
Right after that Barret had delivered the messages to Edward he knew that the Welsh wouldn't stand for this and sent 3/4 of his army to my assitance. After three days of marching he had encountered a large amount of Wellish troops marching towards Scotland. (It seemed that the Welsh thought that they would manage to fight from two fronts....it didn't go so well)
Although King Edward and his army was outnumbered, he and his veteran warriors managed to kill they inexperience soldiers of the Welish army. He encounterd many small squadrons of troops after that and was therefore delayed to Mercia.
At the dawn of the 5 August (three days after I wrote my last war-log) he and his army arrived at Mercia.
This I do remember, it was the last day of the siege when the wellish troops had breached the last wall and was attacking from all sides. I remember fighting for my life with the last of my troops agains't the welsh when I thought I saw a big cloud of dust from the north. But then I don't remember anything else (it seems that I got a big stone, falling from the wall, on my head and lost conscious.
King Edward had a hard time fighting the Welsh and lost many warriors. But in the end he was victorious. After many hours of clearing of the welish troops from the castle he started to search for me and remaning mercian troops. He found me laying in a pool of blood with my hands clinging to my sword. First he thought i was dead but when he noticed I had a pulse he told two of his men to bring me down to the camp outside of the castle to be treated. I was unconscious for two days before I woke up.
Now I can stand up and my wound has healed. I have walked through the debris of the city and castle, looking for survivors. There was only a few dosen of mercian soldiers left and not one of them where uninjured. All the civilians have come back and there is much crying and despair in the city now. I met my wife and the twins and they were uninjured but even that couldn't dampen my anger. I have sworn on the death of my trusted soldiers and their familys that I will make the Welsh pay double for all the bloodshed. I will travel with Edward and his army to Wales to end this war. But now we will rest up and wait for the rest of the Scottish army. My heart twitches with anticipation.

I need a glass of wine and please leave the bottle here also.

Work!*#%@$#*!
I love the paycheck but .......
I am now replacing the staff from India that replaced me. I am working for the client (actually it has been sold twice since I left and is up for sale again-3 years?-3 owners?) that said they didn't need me. On top of that I need to work on the same system I worked on 10 years ago. With a strict (Federally mandated) deadline and just a little more than a month to do it. More wine PLEASE!

Remember the paycheck, Remember the paycheck, Remember the paycheck

Easy - I can read minds! :silly: And your battle description is extremely similar to the Battle of the five armies, including Bilbo, seeing the coming help on the horizon and right after that - bam, knockdown!

Any ideas are thankfully appreciated . I havent had any ideas in a long time that explains why i didnt write about the battle weeks ago.

you could write that you where marching towards xuca when you suddenly got ambushed in the nearby forest by enemy troops ?

Conquestare`s logg , written in haste without date.

We did know they were a bit nostological towards the byzantine emporer, but never did we expect them to betray us those bastards, I gave them my trust but why did they fail it? my sense`s have failed me again.

I had made two encampments, one for the exiles who were to join us and one of my own.The exiles camp were 2 or 3 miles away from ours. These cowardly dogs knew the emporer were too brutally crush everyone who deserted from his army, so they turned there backs against me in hope of saveing there own skin, creating an uprising in my ranks. Former lieutant coeus now an exile, lead the rebellion, almost all of the exiles joined him, only my veterans, and those who trusted me with there brave hearts stayed.

At night when we least expected it, the rebels abandoned there camps and meet up with the byzantine cavlary, they made a bargain with the commander if they were to fight againt me they would be spared from the emporers ironfist. Before that day i had sent a 1500 of my best men southeast to ambush any unaware byzantine army. They came at middday, The army we battled was 3500 men, 2000 rebels and 1500 byzantine light armed riders. Atlast after hours of battle we were the last men standing in the sunrise of dawn , we were victorious. But still we didnt fully crush all of there forces, we didnt bother pursuing the routed byzantines. we won the first battle but there is one more, cowardly byzantines rallied and sent for reinforcements.A closely located byzantine marshal responded, now we have a huge byzantine divisions approching from the east marching towards us. We have many wounded, time is running low, if king xuca dont arrive any time soon we wont stand a chance against 5000 byzantines, We can only pray that he arrives in the right moment.

-----------------------------------------------------

Xuca -you should write the next entry about the the second battle with the approching byzantine army.

I will edit this post later and write about the first battle with the rebels and the byzantine cavlary with much more details .

i hope you bards understood this part, i wrote it in stress, if theres anything you dont understand just ask  .
