Uhh Ohh, We are comming to Aid you with about 900 Light Cavarlymen, this battle seem to be getting an interesting turn of events. HMMmmmm
Will this battle turn to be sort of a Medieval Gettysburg? At first minor skirmishes, then the Numbers amassed and became a brutal battle.

xuca you should write about the second battle with the byzantines,
The current storyline=
the fleeing byzantine riders and peasants rallied and called for reinforcements , a byzantine marshal which was located near them is coming to meet up with them too defeat me, my forces strongly outnumbered , and many of my soldiers are wounded , if you dont arrive soon i will be destroyed.
so you will write about the big battle.
Well since Xuca seems to have disapeared I will make something up.
Knight Richard's adventure
Chap. 27: Short-long bloody battle, what a disaster.
July 3, 1005, Night
We finally arrived where the massanger had said CL was been attacked, only to find his camp in almsot complete Ruins. There was silence among, and only the crying dying men coudl be heard. Death was everywhere, in the air, i nthe smell, the ground cover with pools of blood, So Much death, so much destruction. As we entered the almost desolated camp, we found Cl and about 300 of his men, most of which couldn't fight anymore. Xucan quickly asked him what had happened, and an interpreter i had brought with me traduced
" We where attack durign the night, Cl said, "They came out of no where, 1500 light horsemen attacked, and 2000 of my newest men rebeled joining forces with the Bysanthines. Only my best men, the veterans stayed by my side ( about 1000 men) We battle through the night, fires fighting, and by dawn we where victorius, but at the cost of most of my best men, leaving only about 300 of wish almost half are unable to fight now. But the bysanthines are preparign to attack once more, this time with 5000 strong, well armored men!''
After hearing this, I didn't know what should we do. Stay and fight? We only have 800 fresh light armored horsemen and about 150 battle fatigue veterans of Cl as the rest of his men are unable to bear a sword. We can't run either, there is no way we will be able to take all the wounded with us, it will take too long and the Bysanthines are on the march already.
I talked to xuca about it and after much though we decided to stay and fight. We will hold the bysanthines off as long as we can, in the mean time A massanger was sended to relly all my men, about 5000 infantry and what ever else Hawk Knight can spare to send. We are now preparing for the fight. They will probably attack this night, so I ordered my men to fortify as much as possible the camp and Xuca did the same. Me Xuca and Cl will try to come up with some kind of strategy to hold our lines for as long as possible. This might be our last stand, this might be the last time I write soemhting.
A man enters the tent where richard is and says That Xucan and Cl are waiting for him, He closes his log, and puts it on his pocket, then goes out to meet the other Generals. All this happens while in the distance a noise of clashing iron and steel begins to be heard as the Romans marched toward the camp.
Hehe, I didn't dissapeared, I just forgot to write something.
Adventures of Xuca
3rd july
We digged out two lines of ditches around the camp, hopefully this will shaken the morale of the enemy. We also improvised a wooden wall, with spikes comming out, but it's built with alot of hurry.
Unfortunately, we don't have any archers, so I ordered slings to be made, and we had plenty rocks as ammunition.
Some of CL's men are standing behind the walls with pikes, ready to "welcome" the Byzantines. Right behind them are the slingers, who should fire on the enemy before he reaches us. Those instant-slings cannot be a match to real archers, but CL says the Greeks don't have any, also.
The cavalry awaits behind them, and reserves are in the middle, and they'll get in, as the battle starts, the parts which are...
*Xuca hears the charge of Byzantines and closes his log book wothout finishing the sentance. He goes to get CL and Richard, and prepare for the battle.*
4th july, after the battle
We could hear the scream of Byzantins which were falling in our ditches. There was a lot of commotion, as their commander finnaly calmed them down, they continued the charge. They arrived at the second line, and the same repeated. Few of their squads retreated, but others continued over the ditches, which were now full. CL's men and slingers held them off at the wall, when they charged at our rear. We were prepared to that, as the wall and the ditches went around the whole camp. Our front started to collapse, so our cavlary charged. Rear didn't hold even for a minute, and the Byzantines were in the middle of the camp, where the reserves were. Then they split us from the front, and it all seemed lost.
It was a little lighter now, And I saw Hawk Knight charging. He sprung out of the nearby forest, and caught the Byzantines by surprise. He quickly reached us, but the other part of the army was lost.
Byzantines started to withdraw. As it was clear that we won, one of them ran beside me, and swang his sword. I deflecated his attack with my sheild, but my horse lost ballance, and I fell down right on my sword. It wnt through my thigh.
I'm now resting in my tent, and waiting for someone to tell me what happened next.

No, not bad at all! :go:
Btw Kuno, I think you should finish what you were planning, so that I could write something of my own too when I have more free time! And, of course, when you also have free time!

Kunos log
Our worst fears got true, we're surrounded by the enemies! The night passed without any attack, after our horses had ran away, they shooted from time to time some arrows in our camp, but luckily no more men died....
After sunrisewe could see them, they were no Arabs and no Byzantines, I've never seen such men, but I suggest they are mercenaries form the steppes of Eastern Europe or from the mountains of the Caucasus...
they look like the old Barabrians, wild, with painted faces and big axes....
First I thought we could have a good chance, 30 well armoured man agians abot 80 Barbarians...but still came more of them out of the nearby forrest....now they are about 300 men! How could they pass through all the land without beeing discovered? There isn't a chance anymore for us...we're lost. May god show mercy to our souls....
They will attack now, I'm sure...
Now it's noon and they still don't attack. the sun stands high above us, it's terribly hot in our armours, and we're all tired after the nigt without any sleep. The enemy understands well how he can break ou moral....
We spoke our last prayers when I look at the faces around me I can see desperation. We will die for nothing...
Now i think they're coming...they start to make a terrible noise, and start a strange but terrible singing....
Again I hope this book will make it's was to my friends...Farewell and may god show mercy to our souls....
*ok, guys final(?) part will come this afternoon or tomorrow...have a nice Christmas day and drink some punch with me! (of course with alcohol in it )
