Knight Richard's adventure
Chap. 29: Andrinople, The last stop
July 10, 1005
It was noon and the great allied army of 160,000 strong laid before the great city of Andrynople. The men watched as over 200,000 Romans/arabs attacked the now under flames town. The Leaders were scattered out giving orders to the men as they prepared to help the besieged men in Adrinople, while Richard on the west flank evaluated the situation. Then as he looked west he saw something. A ditachement of Arabs and Romans were moving quickly in a long arch. Richard imediatly understood the situation and rode to his men as quickly as possible. He send a massanger to Hawk Knight and then procceded to talk to his men.

"Brave men of Anglia, We have have sail acroos the Angry waters English channel, and throught the cold Baltic sea. We have marched over 10000 leagues across snow and desert, Mountains and plains. We have fought agaist overwellming odds,against a 100 armys and all have fell before our might. Today we fight once more, this time together with our friends, The Serbians, Mercians,Bulgarians and the famous Middrill men against a comvined army of Arabs and Romans, with numbers far greater than our on. But don't fear, they will fall too!"

"Yeaah"The men shouted and clashed their weapons against their shields.

"A ditachment of our enemies intends to surround our great army and cowardly attack us from our backs." Richard shouted " We must not let his Happen!"
"There is no time to wait from reinforcement, so this task Shall be ours alone! The Fate of this battle, of This War could Depend on your bravery. Many of us might not be on this world by night fall, many of us might never return to our homeland, Anglia, but this day will be remembered a 1000 years from now. The day when a band of brothers, all with different cultures and believes joined forces to stop a common foe, the day when good fought the evil tyrany and they won the day !"
The men shouted on a frenzy of clashing steel and wood.
"This words have been said many times through out history" Richard said," and today they shall be heard once more, Conquer your fear, and you shall conquer death!"

And so the battle began, 100's of Arab arrows painted the sky dark, killing many men. Richard and his men charged the flanking ditachement that by now had seen the Anglians and organised against their attack. The Anglians fought like lions, but it seemed the romans and Arabs were too overwhelming for them and began to panic.
Richard seen this took the flag that a soldier had droped, and charged with it toward the enemy lines, shouting
"Stay in the lines, No retreat, Fight!!!"
He charged blindly against hundreads of swords and spears. Richard had lead himself to the open, leaving himself vulnerable to the enemy, seen this his remaining english infantry charged to his aid. Then an arrow out of no where pierce Richard's Armor, stunning him, then another two on his back, yet he didn't led go of the flag. He struggle a little, and raised himself from the ground. Then a Roman pierce his back with his sword and then destroyed the flag. Hawk seen this rushed to help. The army fallowed leaving 1000's of Romans and arab bodies scattered about.The Romans began to retreat. Hawk finally managed to get to Richard and kneeled next to him. Richard said in agony,
"I, I have finally found my purpose on this world "coughts" We have won, have we?"
"Yes my brother, thanks to your courage" Hawk Said, " Rest now you will get better soon"
"Heh, I will finally meet with my old friend Roger", Richard said with a smile, " Take this"
He gave a folde paper to Hawk, "Tell her I love her with all my heart"
" I will, I promise" Hawk said
"Goodbye,"Richards wispered
"Goodbye friend" Hawk said
"Tell her I love...." Richard wispered as his body lost all essence of life.

Months later on Poland, a massanger entered the capital on a rush. He handed the massage to the princess. And she readed:
" He was a great man, fought like no other, his last wish was that I tell you how much he loved you. I'm sorry....."
From the her eyes a salty sustance begin to appear. Then she looked down and gently touches her now growing belly.......

The end.


I edited the log a bit so it fits with what you guys said about th flanking army. Tell me if there is anything wrong, I put they were comming from the west but I don't remember if I was on the east or west so, let me know.:silly:

Hawk log,


When my men came into battle i saw that the line at richards was fallign and that he rode the enemy head on trying to rally his men back into te fight. So I ordered my men to perform an flanking move to aid Richard to form back his line.
My plan was working as the enemy was being pushed back but suddenly I saw that Richard was right in the open for the enemy arrows then he got hit by three arrows. He fell of his horse but I still saw him holding the flag of his country. When I saw this I charged to his aid but I came to late as he gotten an enemy sword up his back. I was just a few inches from him so I jumped of my horse and run to that enemy swordsmen and cut his throat with my sword.
And I kneeled down to Richard as he spoke to me that I must send his girl this letter and I say that it shall be done my friend.
Then he was gone to see his friend roger, I ordered some of my soldiers to get this body to camp and guard it well. When they brought him away I saw many of is me and mithril troops watching as he was a good friend of the men of mithril and a loyal commander of his troops. So I said to them men let us slaughter the enemy to the last men and burn Constantinople to the ground. For what they have done today let us fight now for Richard honour and for GLORY and what Richard said “Conquer your fear, and you shall conquer death” you saw that he lived up to that line as he charged to his death with no fear. Shall we revenge his death my killing every last enemy on this field!!! Men shouted yeahhhhh. Now lets fight those bloody Romans Charge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We charged the remaining army on the hill and charged them so hard and loud that they broke and fled to make the flank to there main army open which is 30 min away from my position. I send messengers to all commanders about richad and that I am attacking the enemy by flank and a special order for dobber if he may wants to attack them head on from the front line to keep them busy here so that I can come from behind and that we will sandwich them. I had sendend a small portion of heavy cav wit one of my trusted commanders to aid angryminer in battle and a message about my plan of sandwich the enemy.

Btw, could I have a beer, Eric? Dark lager, Pirinsko or Kamenitza? Or Shumensko's Red beer? Or any other dark beer can do, if you don't have those ones... :wink:
